AOE-II Deep Waters Gaming Pro League.

Hello everyone, it is Cusu from Deepwatersgaming.com. If we announced one of the biggest tournaments for low ELO players a couple of weeks ago, Today we are double up with the announcement of the DW Pro-League Season one. This season is invitational only, and these are the players that will take part in the League:

ACCM,

BacT,

Bruh,

Capoch,

Dark,

Daut,

Dogao,

Drangostar,

LaN,

Lyx,

Miguel,

Nicov,

Sitaux,

TaToH,

Vivi and

Vodka.

The Pro League will be played with the DW game mode

This event is the beta version of what is coming for summertime, so hopefully, we can deliver this time and keep going through the year.

Match settings:
In a series of 3 games, all 3 games have to be played, and each victory gives one point.
The maps for each series will be pre-determinate by the organization.
700 years time limit.

Deadlines:
Starting on 08/03/2021
Final Week / Day: 24/5/2021 to 30/05/2021

We from deep waters gaming will be streaming in English and Spanish on our channels. 5/6 days a week.

Players can stream the Point Of View, apart from the last day.

The lack of hype/publicity around the League bothers me. I know most people are in Hidden Cup mode right now, myself included, but the level should be excellent with numerous top-players with very enjoyable playstyles.
I had the pleasure to watch the lyx-ACCM set and this was super enjoyable.

Hello Nico77, more information and structured scheduled will be available from the following Monday, but for now, I will recommend you to watch the first game Lyx vs ACCM https://www.twitch.tv/deepwatersgaming, and it will be on our youtube channel very soon. We live on twitch everyday streaming the DW League and tomorrow, and we will be streaming every day until the 30th of May.

aoe2 streaming is super competitive right now, it's hard to get yourself noticed.
It's also hard to know if closed streaming helps you or not. Any big streamer casting any series is great publicity and could potentially increase your numbers by a lot.

I agree to an extent, but this is an event with a huge chunk of the top players in the world. I was surprised that I hadn't seen anything about it until right now. There doesn't appear to have been any mention of it on Reddit, and it looks like the liquipedia page was just created. Seems like it might be focused more on the Spanish community?

@Cusu when can we expect info on how the purse will look?'

Edit: it would also be good to have some more information about the structure of the event. Will there be playoffs at the end? Are the games live or recs? What times are the streams at? You should also link the English twitch stream.

Thanks for your questions; We are focus on the Age of Empires community. Yes, we have more Spanish content, but it is only because we haven't found the right people in English yet. Although a few weeks ago we started working together with JBR_aoe, so more English will be available soon. (anyone interested in the event can DM me)

The games are al recorded; more structure scheduled will be available soon. We are streaming Monday to Friday in Spanish for 3 hours. We are doing one series of DW League and one of the DW Proleague.

English stream at the moment will be on Monday with JBR_aoe
We do not have a play-off. In the future, we may add play-off if we can hold LAN events; we will see.

Something which seems weird to me though is the not-open streaming, especially since this is a beta-version.
Shouldnt your focus be on getting more feedback/publicity for the tournament and especially for the "main"-event, which you would more likely get with open streaming instead?
Also how do people get the permission to stream games, based on what do you give people permission or is it just depending on how nicely they ask?
Anyway sounds like a great tournament especially with the announcement of the "main"-event in summer.
