What a useless drama. I can see all these discussions are also sourced from cultural differences, in some countries you can bend the rules for good reasons (to be able to watch MBL more), while in others there is no workaround. Nili acted like a real German (joking), kinda reminds me the tax evasive case of Nowitzki's coach (a contract that never been realized cost 10+ million dollars in German tax system).

In this case, MBL knows that he is breaking the rules, completely aware of it and still does it to partially send a message to Two Pools tournament, even stating the name of Daut in process. He is definitely aware of consequences of his act. Usually such cases ends up with harsh punishment, because as an enforcer of the law you have to set an example, so others will not follow. To be honest I stand with AL decision and it should be example for other cases. At this point I also understand frustration of MBL but if other admins are not doing a proper job, that's not Nili's fault.

On the other hand I also agree with conflict of interest problem, and an easy solution at this point might be forming a group of admins. I hope Nili considers this idea.

On a more serious note, saying somebodys opinion isn't worth it because he donated large sums of money towards the game is just crazy and full of jealousy ...
I am totally on board with Mbl getting an AL, but as usually nilli is unnecessary rude towards people, might be his german nature or just the way he communicates.
You don't need to like his personality, but the decision itself is more than fine.

Why do you always have a problem with honestly interpreting what I say? What I very clearly meant is that: the fact that he donates large sums of money to random streamers is the reason people take him seriously here, as I find many of his posts ridiculous, and not just in this thread. Obviously the size of his donations should have no impact on how people view his posts, but it does, in a positive way.

Your whole argument wasn't "his opinion is unreasonable and ridicoulous" it was "it shouldn't be taken serious because of donations"

I am simply stating what I see. I did not watch this happen live, I have since gone back and rewatched both streams as I am not much of a live viewer anymore and more of a vod viewer.

People aren't just randomly changing their opinion because I have said anything, I am well aware of a lot of people who feel the same way about this subject and they felt this prior to me knowing what had even happened.

You don't see an issue with how it was delivered, I do. The great thing about opinions, they are allowed to be different. I joined a conversation of many people unhappy in the way it was delivered, which I started to read many hours after the fact. I read both sides of the discussion, watched the vods and came to my own opinion. That opinion is pretty close to what the majority of that chat had already settled on. Attack me all you like, I am quite happy in the knowledge that many of my friends feel the same as me.

I'm totally fine with the decisions that were made. I'm a little bit perplex that a player that consciously ignored the rules while stating this completely overconfident getting an admin loss for this is getting so much support here by different people creating more and more drama. It is absurd. It is time and energy consuming. I hope the admins and other people don't waste too much time dealing with these people and continue on the bright side. Keep your head up, people. Just internet things.

"MbL got AL for streaming without stream delay." => This is the wrong decision from Nili

In the Stream policy, Nili do not write out the punishment when players violate.

This is the reason Nili can not punishment( AL) the player when they violate Stream policy

I don't really want to join your discussion, but there is a difference in saying "somebodys opinion isn't worth it because he donated large sums of money" (that would be extremely stupid) and "people only take your opinion seriously because you donated money". The latter assumes that his opinion should not be taken seriously but is by some people because of donations.

So everyone can ignore the rule with impunity?

Also there is no punishment given for cheating, the gamerule setting/number of games, the no restart rule etc. - So if both players agree to play Bo3 RM Michi with 3 restarts each they could also just do that?

I mean yes it would probably more professional if somewhere would be mentionent something like "Violation of Rules can be punished with AL/Game loss etc." but this defenetively is implied similar to no cheating.

Yes, they can do that . They just violate the rule but Nili can not punish them because Nili do not write out the punishment when they violate that rules

Not every rule is covered. Most tournaments don't consider including things like bugged restore files if someone drops, players intentionally dragging out won/lost games (which can cause harm to viewership across the board), excessively long pauses etc - that's why tournaments have admins, where they can decide punishments for rules that aren't specifically listed out on the fly, or to decide punishments where they were not clear before.

I can't disagree here, seems like I misunderstood the wording.
But isn't it even more tasteless this way?
It's a totally useless (from an argumentative point) personal attack, that most likely is fueled by some sort of jealousy or just simple bad intentions.
Anyway no need to take these trolls serious any longer, I finally decided not to read their post ever again :D
