see if Voobly can move the community to a mod that makes a single change:
SC/eagle can no longer steal boar
if they can't do something simple and objective like that, then we know they aren't equipped to do anything worthwhile when it comes to RTS balance, especially when changes become much more subjective and/or controversial like buffing/nerfing civs/units
if you get beyond that proof-of-concept stage, then Voobly should add a random-civ ladder to collect hard data on win rates like Blizzard does. that's needed because the current state of "expert players" is basically a joke
It's much easier to say "<civ> gets buffed because it's losing 70% of the time on <map>" rather than being influenced by some random player's bias to change the game in specific ways (eg. Forgotten Empires)
