I agree with everyone that says the DE Matchmaking is bad and that 1 minute resigns are often the best way to avoid uneven and uninteresting games. That being said, if we just let all players resign before 1 minute in any situation then there is nothing stopping abuse and rating becomes meaningless.
I think the rule should only be for 1v1. TG matchmaking is way too ****ed up to be used in any way.I have 2 questions about that:
- does this also count for TGs or just 1v1s?
- does it count if you quit a TG with your 2k+ teammates vs <15xx players (here you can only gain 0 points and its simply a waste of time for both sides)
If it's a matchup where you truly have no chance of winning, resign after 1 minute and you won't even lose elo.I don't know about anybody else, but I find zero joy in playing games versus guys that would beat me 100 out of 100 times. Waiting for the inevitable loss is just wasting 15 minutes of my life that I'd rather spend doing other things
I think this is the most valid complaint. With the lack of moderation on DE, cancerous behavior can't be punished. I would say that you should be given a pass in these cases if you can give evidence of objectively bad behavior from the opponent in previous recorded games. What if you dont want to play vs a guy who pauses/unpauses 5 times in the same game without even asking? Or that starts flaming like a kid if you defeat him? There are some annoying people out there that one would like to block or avoid but the platform doesnt allow to.
