Current Situation on Aoe4 and Aoe2

If 2 people do the exact same work for the same employer they should be paid the same.

This is a good post, very good answer it is not like emotional reaction of other guy.

So my counter reaction would be, since work is digital, means it is accesible from most of the world. So as an employer, why wouldn't I ask for cheaper price with highest quality?

I am not asking X person to lower his wage, I am asking is there a Y person who can do same job with lower demand?

In the end worth of work is determined by supply and demand, how would I know X person is not overselling? And to be honest his range 10 to 45 dollar per hour, especially 45 dollar is expensive even in a developed country.

For people who are having trouble to understand 45/hr makes 8K+ per month. I don't even think most experienced admin - probably robo - making such money. Even with %50 tax, it is more than average salary of any European country and that would put person highest tax bracket in any European country except tax heavens.

Guys i can tell you that if there is someone incredible concern about the future since this is literally my life, since my wife lost the job, and my whole family depend now on my channel, but i really think that the point of view about the whole thing has been clear, do not think that it will be much better if we keep all the energy on support what we love it and watch what we like it and let people that want to work in aoe4 do their thing.

I know is difficult because we think that if aoe4 wasn´t there we could have got NAC4 in aoe2, which is probably truth but why we dont think that if aoe4 didn´t happen, probably nili had to also crowdfound all the prize pool instead of having 100k, also we had already super big events last year and we will keep working to have more this year, and we will, and dont take me wrong i have been feeling bad during this months too yes i can admit it but i can also tell you that instead of that what i did was, ok i will try aoe4, i tried, did i enjoy much? not really so i moved, will try more in the future? sure why not, if they improve i will try, but then i focused in aoe2 events, and im enjoying with return of the clans ALOT, World Rumble ALOT, master of socotra, the DWL (deep waters league) settings are amazing, those are not S tier right? so what? still incredible games, more S tier will come and hype will increase.

Microsoft is a company and they are business, so they will promote what they think is better or give more $, nothing wrong with it, aoe2 got benefit big from it, they are doing mistakes, sure they are, but who doesn´t make mistakes? time put everything in their position so if they improve the game and it get great will be good for everyone for sure, and if they don´t aoe2 will never die because is great already, and since they love the game, because some of the important people that i talk with from microsoft, they love aoe2, we won´t lose our loved game, what we should not lose is our community as a beauty, complain is fine, but for me we crossed the line long ago.

And i say this because we might be losing even more potential sponsors with this behave, nobody like to invest in a community that is not together and bring bad vibes, and this is not opinion.

Enjoy with the game you love and what you dont like just ignore. We love this game.

I fully appreciate your concern considering your own family situation and the position you have been able to put yourself in through years of creation and grinding AOE2.

Although, it must be said, do you not think your reaction to not getting drafted for RF was a bad look for the tournament? It seemed like a very poor response to an event that you have your name on and which was always going to be a real possibility given the player pool and the settings.

I haven't seen a TG tourney since 2019 that allowed Feudal sling or didn't have some strong restrictions on sling (no sling until Imp etc)

As someone from a place with the freest economy (maybe not anymore in a few years :/ ), I prefer free market all day every day. However, there are always some underlying moral issues, especially when the group self-identify themselves as civilized / wholesome people.

TGs are entertaining to watch when on a good map and don't feature the incredibly stale archer flank-cav pocket meta.

I agree to an extend. It's better in 3v3, because a lot of decision making and chaos is involved, the knights can't be everywhere.
A 2v2 though, yeahh. The execution is good as always, but at some point

The arena game of GL vs WWP yesterday was amazing, and a wack strategy from GL was one of the reasons . There was a counter to the typical cav + archer. Plus, arena TGs always brings out crazy strats

I'll give credit where it's due to AOE4, they made the standard infantry not useless.
Hopefully AOE2 can buff up infrantry a bit more as well. There should be SOME use for milita line other than being "anti trash" (even then, light cavs aren't horrible against champs).

Improve speed a small amount more.
Maybe also introduce a defensive mode for milita line? Reduce damage but improve pierce armour and make speed equal to archers (with squares of course) in that mode

What is good or evil is a matter of debate but from where I stand you can be a good person and sometimes insult others.

I hope they keep that post alive so I can always refer it how biased admins are. This is all happening because I pointed out conflict of interest of tournament coordinator and income of certain admins went into jeopardy because of that.

I would say it might be interesting how the aoe2 community reacts to the willful attempt to supplant it with aoe4, but we have seen this flick before. Folks abandoned Voobly pretty quick when tournament funding stood with DE, but at least there was the guise of perhaps better pathing (lol) and growing a greater player base. I'm sure folks will be quick forget the attempt to leverage the community into some quick cash for aoe4 under the guise of "porque no los dos?" or "gonna try to make more $ doing new shiny thing!"


If history is any indicator, folks will welcome them back with open arms and record viewership.

MBL got a lot of **** from other pros for saying they abandoned the game but he was telling it like it is really. They all jumped at the opportunity to make more $$ and only started coming back to aoe2 when they realized aoe4 probably isn't going to be this next big thing.
