Might just start alt f4 in load screen everytime i see tatar or cumans.

Or play Age of Cumans till the day of the patch.

I think Cumans and Steppe Lancers are both huge problems - but probably the lancer is the bigger one.

I do agree though that Kipchak might turn out to be even more overpowered. 0 Frame delay is just a bad idea for this game, especially with a unit which is that fast. It's just not that obvious right now, because you need a castle for them and you can always go Steppe Lancer for an easy win and no required micro.
So probably Kipchak is more op when played by good players, but Steppe Lancer is a lot easier to abuse and easier to get.

Well someone gave the idea to remove steppe lancers from cumans and let them be the UU for Tartars, which is not bad.

But I’d rather support the idea of removing them completely from the game to be honest or at least performing a huge nerf. They are the most controversial unit of AOE2 in 20 years for a reason right? And also it makes no sense that such an overpowered unit can be trained in stables at and absurd cost.

People get so salty at age of cumans that they alt f4 at the start 50% of the time. So, even if we balance the civs, its nice to know that people can just leave a game at the first second with zero penalty.

Get queued up vs a player thats better than you? oop time to alt f4.
Don't like a water map, i gotchu bro, just alt f4.
Don't want to play vs mbl because he lames, no problem just alt f4.
Don't want to get trushed by Koreans, no problem, just alt f4 and go new game.
Civ win for your opponent, just alt f4.
Get a shitty teammate or unbalanced team? Hey just alt f4 and waste the time of 7 other people, no problemo. (This situation has already happened to Nico and I in 2v2 at least a dozen times, sometimes 2-3 times in a row.)

Want to do all of these 5x in a row. no problem, there are zero consequences to this behavior. And don't worry, they cant even put you on an ignore list for acting this way.

CS:GO's system should be perfect for dealing with this:

- resign before 1min game time? -> 30mins cooldown from competitive MM.

- resign before 1min game time after your first cool down? -> 2hours cooldown from competitive MM.

- Keep increasing cooldown periods to 24hours, 1 week, etc.

That doesnt work, we've gotten zero points from many of the 2v2 wins because the rating difference is large. They would still be resigning with zero penalty, or possibly losing 1 point at maximum. Same thing if i were to queue vs. Spring, mb, bact, accm, etc. which has happened to me quite often. Other than being polite and a good sport, what incentives do players have to not just alt-f4 in unfavorable circumstances like this.

I think they need to implement something like Nelson suggests, or the no penalty resigning will continue to be abused. Either for civs or other reasons.

I have just watched Oasis, Tim(Mongols) vs Vivi(Cumans).

At first Vivi was laughing incessantly when he saw his opponent and the civs. (Vivi has been laughing of how Tim used to be his master but the apprentice has overtaken the master). Then Tim pressed him so hard during Feudal age that he lost. I had both streamers on my PC, it was really hilarious to hear Vivi cursing while Tim was laughing. One said GG, the other'61', even annoying him more.

I think for 1v1 Cumans has a problem, if they boom, they are very vulnerable during booming.

Even better: if you get stupid teammates, resign in the last possible second on wich you wont lose ELO. After you resigned your team is forces to play on with a number disadvantage or they can resign but since they resign too late they will lose full points

No, they don't. It just shows that they can't do whatever they want and get through with it.
They can still just play a normal game with an excellent Scout rush and then continue to abuse their op units in Castle Age.
I also think people didn't quite figure out the best way to use the 2nd TC bonus.

Cumans don't have a problem - it only shows that the TC bonus is not as overpowered as most of us thought and can be punished. But Cumans are not forced to play a greedy eco style - it's just what everyone is doing.

I'm glad the update is coming soon - they will be an interesting civ with hopefully balanced Lancers and Kipchaks.

Resigning at min 1 reached a new level, my opponent resigned in a new game where i wasnt cumans, because in a previous game i had picked cumans....on highlands (where they arent even that good of a civ, and he had picked japs, which should easily win a grush and have an OP fish boom) 11 this is so broken
