I was wondering how many people here follow the CS:GO competitive scene.
In my opinion CS:GO is by far the best Esports in every possible aspect:
This grand-final has just once again proved all of this. What a series! I was on the edge of my seat for the whole last map!
CS:GO currently holds the record on Twitch for the highest number of concurrent viewers on a single channel: it was achieved during the ELEAGUE-Major in January, when more than 1 million people tuned in to watch the finals.
I'm thinking about going to Boston next year, where the next Major will take place. Anyone else thinking about making the trip?
In my opinion CS:GO is by far the best Esports in every possible aspect:
- fast paced with small pauses between the rounds which gives an excellent opportunity to the casters to analyze what just happened;
- easy to grasp the basic rules after watching a couple of rounds (unlike LoL or DOTA2);
- an economic aspect which gives it a lot more depth when compared to your regular FPS where it's usually all about "running and gunning"; also the lost round bonus which makes sure that a team always has a chance of coming back, no matter how helpless the situation appears to be;
- and yeah, by the far the best Casters duos in the whole Esports scene who manage to take the viewing experience to a whole other level, namely: Sadokist+HenryG (my personal favorites); James Bardolph+DDK; Anders+Moses; etc.
