First game I've posted in 4 years

I've been back playing about a month and have played about a 100 games but I'm 16-1700 mostly since I play with new friends who are 15-1700 so most of my games are about that rating, not worth posting I don't think so. Well hard for me to discern I guess since I'm used to posting 2k tg's.

My first time experiencing a fast imp since I came back and probably my 2nd or 3rd arena game so was really unsure what to do. My castle was a waste of time I could have put many layers of walls and stalled him even longer plus more tc's rather than 2. I managed to flee some vils luckily, down to 22 pop and thanks to trib from edie got going again. Many things we didn't do. I knew the whole time we should have extended trade route, clear the trade route of debris blocking it and also added mongol siege much earlier but I was overwhelmed by the game. Most intense game I've played in a while as it's with 2k+. Also several times I sent a whole army to one spot on the map but didnt monitor it and ran into enemy units and lost most of it. I'm sure you'll be slapping your head saying d'oh a lot haha. Korean + Mong much stronger imp age of course, no denying that. Would love a rematch with swapped civs.

Enjoy Certainly hope there are more like it and really hope some of the StorM's show up at some point (especially Sorck) so we can get some StorM vs going again. Always liked seeing a team of StorM's vs.

Hera told me after the game it was one of the best game he ever played if not the best, so yea definitly a good game to watch/share, and a lot of funs, good job again country, glad you enjoyed it and hope to see you playing more often(and arena too ^^' !)

I really hope that he start streaming, because his knowledge of the game is immense, he sounds like a comprehendable Kkab.

yeah, I watched the game live, was a fun one to watch. but once it reached imp wars all around, we all watching expected the mongols to do some serious ownage.

it was intense, and hera played really well too, his micro is very, very good.

Really happy to hear that, glad I was part of it. I re-watched the record just there and was really really impressed by Hera's micro of plumes and then skirms. Until I manage to get back to 2k I'll probably always feel inferior in these games to the likes of you edie and Hera which changes how I play compared to playing more relaxed games vs 1600's, who might I add are far far better players than the 1600's I knew 4 years ago, really happy to see, have really challenging games vs them all the time and have lost almost as much as we've won and I'd like to invest some time in helping players get better to increase the competition across the board.

Hey brother, what nick were you using? Glad I could help Message me more and I'll make time to train you more. I'll also strongly consider streaming. I love what these new additions are bringing to the table. Even the capacity to spectate is huge, gives the players a live audience and the spectators more connection than watching the record after on their own.

Ya know Darcy you're right, I would have expected that too and Mong my favourite civ because of their power and most of all their speed at pushing. Imp age was always my strongest i was good at DM too used to play 2v2 with Bender for a time so I guess I'm more suited to full pop and a lot of resource and defense of econ compared to feudal battles where lose of a few units can cost you the game. My clicks per second and how fast I move around the screen is quite slow. Recognized recently infact that my ability to focus while things are happening fast and taking in everything visually that is happening is limited compared to others. I noticed it in sports, playing field hockey when there's a lot going on I can't take it all in and make the right decisions of where to move my feet/the ball to get out of 2/3/4 players trying to tackle you with sticks flying everywhere. I watch others doing it but can't replicate. Also noticed in Spain 2003 LAN tourney that my speed on the keyboard and with mouse was far, far, farrrrrr slower than Yanzi. Fair enough he's a fast player but I was like...ehhh...that's gotta help lol. Contributes to me being overwhelmed by a lot of things happening. I know I can change that and glad you brought it to my attention. Focus might be the key, a higher level of focus, blocking out what is irrelevant in the moment. I'm sure there were times when we killed their army and had to build up army again where I had spare time to do the needful's like extending the trade route so i had enough gold to make siege and siege upgrades and build siege shops and stables outside in the middle. Noticed last night that's a pattern now, I build my main buildings at home and don't move up with more buildings each time i gain new ground (map control), a very important piece to both slowing the enemy down if they are pushing and also massing close to where your pushing faster the more buildings you have and the less travel time to attack point.

Nice comeback! Sorck plays bf on and off, he plays intensely for a couple months then will disappear/spectate for the next few months. Same with bender. They seem to play much less in these months but they could always be smurfing!

btw karl, i'm not sure i ever thanked you, but when i was only 1800's in RuFF and most of my mates were too, jordan léon etc haha, I remember you were the first who brought me in high level tg 2k++ in your team even i was prolly the weaker, I remember first game 4v4 desert ara i was pkt az of dreams span against vicvega and patin i was like omg screw it and they won't let me play anymore but dreams was pretty cool and relax i just fast imped like 27min and won quite fast. I improved pretty much in these tgs at your side, thank you for giving me this opportunity. kiss

Ya know I appreciate ya telling me that because last we spoke we had a silly argument over not posting loses and funny thing is when I was posting this game I stopped to think, was there any gg's where I lost I could also post :P just to keep it even. But sadly no lol. But still it made me think And sure look what happened when you were given an opportunity, you went on to become a top player, far surpassing me so glad I could be part of that brother. Be good to see you playing a little from time to time A lot of old schoolers knockin' about, i can see us having regular tg's again soon.
