Clash of the Titans Anniversary - Promo Invitational and Tournament Announcement

10 years ago, titans met in battle, in one of the biggest and most well-remembered 1v1 tournaments before modern times: Clash of the Titans.
Now it is time to celebrate it with an anniversary edition, hosted by @T-West, @NovaAoE and @Huehuecoyotl22.

Before the tournament which will be open to 128 players starts this November, DauT, JorDan, TheViper and saymyname as 4 of the 6 final phase players from 2013 and Mr Yo and dogao to replace Lojza and RiuT will play in a $250 promotional round robin event to support us raising a suitable prize pool for the anniversary tournament.

Throughout October, the 6 players will play 5 rounds of 5 games each using the same settings as in the original round robin final, with 1 point per won game. Matches will happen at times whe no other big tournament matches are happening and will be open to stream, if you promote the tournament and donation page (https://matcherino.com/tournaments/94798).

Round 1 matches (dates TBD):
TheViper vs. Yo : Arabia, Araia, Atlantean Relics, Islands, Arabia
DauT vs. JorDan : Arabia, Slippery Springs, Great Lake, Yucatan, Arabia
saymyname vs. dogao : Arabia, Border Dispute, Great Lake, Arena, Arabia

Game 1 is played as a classic Huns war, game 2 and 3 are the home maps players picked back then (with free civ pick). Game 4 is the map that randomly generated from the map pack (mirror civ) and game 5 a mirror Arabia game.
(Maps are updated and settings will be slightly changed in the tournament in November.)

Registration is open until 2023-11-17, 20:00 GMT.
Seeding will be based on:
50 % tournament Elo, 25 % current RM 1v1 rating, 25 % highest RM 1v1 rating - for players with a tournament Elo above 2000 and min. 1 tournament match registered on aoe-elo.com in the last 6 months (since May 2023). If the player does have a lower tournament Elo or did not play a registered match, their tournament Elo will be set to 2000.

Round Settings:
November 20-26: Round 1 (Ro128): Best of 3: Game 1: Random map (CoT2 random map pool). Game 2-3: home maps.
November 27-December 3: Round 2 (Ro64): Best of 5: Game 1: Random map (CoT2 random map pool). Game 2-3: home maps. Game 4: Light Random. Game 5: Arabia.
December 4-10: Round 3 (Ro32): Best of 5: Game 1: Random map (CoT2 random map pool). Game 2-3: home maps. Game 4: Light Random. Game 5: Arabia.
December 11-17: Round 4 (Ro16): Best of 5: Game 1: Random map (CoT2 random map pool). Game 2-3: home maps. Game 4: Light Random. Game 5: Arabia.
Dates of later rounds to be determined, likely after a holiday break.

Map Pools and Draft:
The map pool consists of 3 pools, like in the original where we had the "CoT Map Pack", "Light Random" and the home map pool.
1. The CoT Map Pack will be renamed as "Random Map Pool" and still feature 25 maps. However, it won't be a map pack file generating a random map. Instead prior to each round one random map will be generated for each match of the whole bracket. That way players can prepare better, as they already know the map they will play in game 1 in advance.
2. Light Random: This will be a file randomly generating one of the same 20 maps (with updated map scripts) as in the past. You will have to scout to guess or determine which map you are playing.
3. The home map pool will still feature the same 39 maps as in CoT. It does overlap with Light Random and the CoT map pool. You won't be allowed to pick a home map that was generated from the CoT map pool.

Civilisations:
Game 4 (Light Random) in Round 1-6 will be played as random "Mirror" civilisations.
Game 7 in Round 5 and 6 and game 1 in the Final Stage will be a Huns War on Arabia.
Game 5 in Round 2-4, game 4 in Round 5 and 6 and game 5 in the Final Stage will be played as random "Mirror" civilisations on Arabia.
For home maps and the CoT2 random map pool game, the civilisation will be free pick from the match's civilisation pool. For each match, 20 civilisations will be randomly banned and the list will be provided to the players at the same time as the random map to be played. So players will have ~20+ civilisations (depending on which DLCs they own) to pick from.

This means that you won't have to conduct a map or civ draft.

The match between TheViper and DauT yesterday had 8-9k+ viewers for most of its duration, with a peak of >10k (not counting Lyx's and Yo's viewers on Douyu TV).
