Clan “hub”?

Is there currently a place where you can browse through clan websites?
well, ehm, do clans still HAVE websites?

looking for a starting place to look around.

i know NC has a clan page ( New Chapter ) I dont know if others do have it. anyways if you wanna play with guys nC is a good place it has a matchmaking system included so you have "fair" games. with TS etc. if you into that. if you want to go clan wars like TG then it is probably the best way to be so good in 1v1 someone recognizes you and wants to play with you. otherwise it will be hard. its an old community. you will only make friends with a ton of games. Because at least me. i rather play with a guy i played already for 8 years a tournament than with a new kid from the block

aoe2 TG take quite some time. i wanna know that the other guy is fun etc. and you know that if you see him over and over again in 1v1 ladder and he acts cool. or in tg and acting cool maybe in tg ladder you meet in teams right thats it works here i guess. i dont waste 2 hours to have a guy who surrenders as soon as his push doesnt work or he has to go for dinner because his moms is getting angry. if thats sad for you. i guess you will have a hard time here

Just join a few (small) aoe discords and connect with the community that way, its very easy to make friends in this game, because the vast majority of people is incredibly nice. Honestly, people who think its hard to find friends to play tgs with must be very shy or bad-mannerd themselves.

i open my game, I click multiplayer, I enter a ranked game or a lobby game

so, where is the moment where you chat with others?

The in-game community functions are quite bad. If you want to join a clan/chat with others, as i said, you should join some discord groups.

everything community wise is outside the actual game client

I hear nothing about clans. Someone mentioned NC, some pros have top teams. But except those i really have really hear about clans at all. Is this just me? Arent there many clans active?

there are a lot of small clans but there are rarly tournaments where all can play.

Ignore the "clan" feature of the game client for now. There is no clan chat, clan lobby or a clan ladder. Until those are implemented, they are useless.

People do play together but most arrangements are done out of the game client. Top players have discord channels you can join and most of them have a "LFG" room. Hera's, for example, is quite active with daily games between members. Join any of them, say hi and in no time you will have more invites than you can handle.
