Captains Mode Regicide Edition.

Hi all,
(czech) pip made the captains mode website a while ago to pick civs for a game, and we wanted to host a few small tournaments to see it in action. It's a very short ~6hours 2v2 double elimination tourney. If you have a free saturday morning or evening (if you are AUS/asia) on the 24th october and want to have some fun, come and join!

Event Format

It's a mini 2v2 tournament with the first 8 teams to sign up. Additional teams will be still added as fallback teams, in case any of the first 8 teams pulls out. Everybody is welcome (any ELO). The format is double elimination BO1 and BO3 in the last 4 matches (G,N,O,H) (The semi finals and Finals).

The tournament features the Captains Mode drafting.

Captains mode is a turn-based civilization picker primarily for team games. Each captain picks and bans civilizations in a predefined order. Bans prevent the opponent's captain from picking the civilizations. After a civilization has been picked, it cannot be banned by the other team.

For each turn captains have 30 seconds. In case of timeout random civilization is picked or no civilization gets banned.

Hidden option hides the civilization choices as long as possible - only revealed when switching from banning to picking or the other way around

Dates
signup close on friday 23rd October 2015 13GMT. Teams should confirm participation on the 24th. (sign ups in separate thread)
Play times: 11GMT - 17GMT saturday 24th october 2015, starting 11GMT sharp. If you are late you may get an Admin Loss for the first game, or be replaced by a different team. If you can come a half hour earlier to test out stuff and get things going, we will appreciate it.
In case we didn't manage to play all games on saturday, we will reschedule the remaining games to sunday between 11GMT - 13GMT.

Round Settings

For each game each team has access to 4 bans. The order of picks and bans is the following for each team:
ban - ban - pick - ban - ban - pick
The exact order is
ban1 - ban2 - ban1 - ban2 - pick2 - pick1 - ban2 - ban1 - ban2 - ban1 - pick1 - pick2
For each game it is specified who starts the picking and banning. To try a demo version of picking click: here and select bo3 Game 2 or 3

In a hidden mode bans and picks are hidden and revealed only between picks and bans like this:
ban - ban - reveal bans - pick - reveal picks - ban - ban - reveal bans - pick - reveal picks
Because of this the order in which teams start picking banning makes no difference.

Note for players - Click the links in the preset settings to start the draft. Alternatively visit the captains mode website and choose the “CM Regicide Cup” preset for each game and ticking Hidden mode if necessary. The team starting the picking should host the draft and invite the other captain, if an admin is not around to host the draft and send out invitations.

The player hosting the draft has to copy the invite code before the game is started into the in-game chat (so it shows up in the recorded games).

General Rules

Bad behaviour will not be tolerated. Smurfs are not allowed. Games should be played in Tournament Lobby on the VCOM Ladder. Games should be restored when possible. Games must be recorded. Games may be streamed. No cheating. Good luck. Have fun.

Hard to fill a tournament with awkward times to play the matches.

I think it is not really that people don't want to join, but most can't join during these times.

nah is just that for some reason, that i dont know, people dont seem to want to play in robo's tournaments.
remember TCC? proooobably not
but we (the signed up teams) still love you robo and your tournament are still great.
