I know you were frustrated at losing such a long game,

but I can't set a dangerous precedent of giving players prize money if they do not complete the games that they signed up for (and this is in the rules and settings). If you had completed the third game then you'd have earned your $10 participation plus another $5 if you'd won it, but that will have to go back into the pot for the future.

I do really appreciate you stepping forward, as a 2000-rated player, to play in this tournament in its second week and help raise its profile. We had 300 viewers watching the Arabia game tonight and really enjoying it.
