I think most problems can be solved by reducing costs, not buffing stats. The problem with Cataphracts isn't that they're not powerful enough, it's that they cost so much they're not viable most of the time. Reduce the cost of the unit to 60f 75g (same cost as a paladin which is a very powerful unit and can be built from stables), reduce the elite and logistica upgrade costs, and you're fine. Giving them bloodlines, or blast furnace, or having logistica affect more unit lines is just unnecessary buffing. I think the game is more fun when people can afford their UU's and they can mass more fun units to play with. Otherwise, all people will do is stable, archery range, and barracks units which I don't think is as interesting.
