patch note

• Fixed an issue were one player might get 1 less buffalo than the other on Golden Swamp.
• Fixed an issue were one player might get only 1 Ibex instead of 3 on Arena.

I mainly post because of last patch I had several arabia games were 1 player start with 2 deers and the other with 3, now I just had a game were I started with 3 deers while my enemy only got 1, I don't play THAT much so it must be quite common, nobody else is annoyed about this?

I figured I could just aswell start topic for the patch, I see people mostly hugn up in the team game LOS, but what do people think about balance? I only tested out portugese a few games, seems like they get a nice early boost for easy MAA-Archer rush, have not played or faced hindustanis/gurjaras yet but got the feeling their camels is still really strong on my noob lvl, especially hindustanis are so easy to play and got so many options its just a booring civ in my view

The Shared LoS setting is now on by default on for all matchmaking modes including lobby games.​

• Parthian Tactics now give the same anti-spearman bonus increase (+2) to Cavalry Archers as to other mounted archer units.
• Heavy Cavalry Archer anti-spearman attack increased from 2 ▶ 4.
• Battle Elephant cost reduced from 120 food 70 gold ▶ 110 food 70 gold.
• Slingers attack 17% faster after researching Thumb Ring.

Burmese​

• Parthian Tactics applies to Arambai.

Byzantines​

• Fixed an issue where Cataphracts with Logistica were dealing less than intended damage to Condottieri.

Gurjaras​

• Mounted unit bonus damage changed from 40% ▶ 20% in Feudal / 30% in Castle / and 40% in Imperial.
• Chakram and Elite Chakram Damage reduced from 5 ▶ 3 (6 ▶ 4 Elite).
• Chakram Pass-through damage increased from 50% ▶ 100%.
• Elite Chakram +1 Bonus damage vs Infantry.

Hindustanis​

• Camel Attack speed bonus reduced from 25% ▶ 20%.

Khmer​

• Fixed an issue where (Elite) Ballista Elephants were not resistant to armor-ignoring damage.

Poles​

• Stone miner bonus reduced from 50% ▶ 33% gold generation.

Portuguese​

• New Team Bonus – Technologies Research 25% faster (excluding Age Up).
• New Civ Bonus (replaces faster tech civ bonus) – Foragers generate a trickle of wood (33%).

Tatars​

• Fixed an issue where Flaming Camels were not receiving the intended (+40%) anti-building bonus damage increase from Siege Engineers.

Vikings​

• Warship discount bonus no longer affects Transport Ships.

Edit: and I feel random civ is bugged and I only get new civs, but this can be tinfoil hat... I get either poles (mostly) gurjaras or burgundians what feels like 90% of random civ, I still really regret getting the dlcs at all because of this, if I make new family account I can give access only to aoe2 or I need to have all the dlc?

I don't think it is a new bug, during all DE existence while going random civ but having one civ selected, those selected civs among the players tend to be distributed within the players randomly, it was reported several times that one team was getting the exact same civs that the other team had selected (non locked).

So if you are getting those civs it could be that ur opponent had that civ in case forced pick civ.

That actually make sense, poles and gurjaras are quite popular at my lvl (13-14xx) and I always pick a civ then have random enable if enemy got it, I notice several times enemy got a civ I had picked so yea its prob some bug

Not sure if this is the official thread to post any new issues but here's one I had yesterday:

Black screen for 20 seconds at the start of the game, could hear voices and was able to pause a few seconds in but not able to chat or any clicks. No UI or actions after the 20 seconds for like a couple of minutes but thankfully opponent was kind and waited at pause screen. Apparently I had queued vills (probably from loading screen when I pressed HCCCC), in game time was like 30 seconds, vil 1 was 83% and i was about to be housed KEK. Chatted with opponent after, we played a normal game, game felt a bit choppy for me but it was probably my pc.

Restarted age and next game ran smoothly.

Obviously, not gonna lie after every patch, the game runs a bit different for me (there's always some performance/server issues like choppiness/freezes etc etc) but I am used to it by now. No complains (besides I know the devs will have a performance hotfix in the coming weeks like always, that usually fixes things)

Anyone else have had this issue before? (I remember TheViper once played a game without any UI lol) and i havent had this happen to me before, could just be that DE didn't load all the data hence needed to restart the game.

Ihave seen this many times before, especially recently. I picked Saracens if my opponent didn't allow random, for instance, then my opponent got saracens and i got some other civ. However, since humans are so quick to spot patterns in random things, I'm still leaning towards it just being pseudorandom and we're just remembering a few odd coincidences.

Yes, before I felt I always got goth in random, but I did a quick check now, in the last 10 days I played 40 games and I got poles 8 times (one time 3 times in a row), and im up in 12 games with them (got all dlc summer sale) and never picked them, while civs like teutons, slavs and bulgarian that I had for 2-3 years and never pick I only got 5-7 games with still, maybe its how random works, but my random have given me poles quite alot latly.

i got burmese and portuguese on random today after I had them selected 3 days ago. Could be that other opponents had them selected but random option was on, in turn giving me those civs 11
