Im strating to think the same. If there is enough time to make those series. Win in the first round would guarantee plave in the Gold league in the second when top 8 join would guarantee place in the main event.

It's so easy to manipulate your rating that there is no doubt that some players exploit that especially with money being involved. Besides acc sharing you can just leave the queue once you got a map that you don't want to play without any consequences or you just come up with any excuse to resign within the first min. Spec cheating is as easy as ever since there is 0 delay. Always nice to see when your opponent pauses at min 1 and then you see 1 spectator joining

I think we should give em time to look at some datas, if there are complete stupid games ban those teams and players forever from competitive. in my opinion also the other main organizers should take that into consideration because thats really sad. If there is nothing to be found at all. they should go on with this. if in half of the team there is no proof of being guilty but a high risk something is wrong. play it out. quick and fast. who really wants it should play as fast as possible. give em 5 days to do the whole thing and over.

In previous TG tourneys, it was the same thing with old players sitting on old non decayed 1v1 ratings while actual better tg players had to sit out.

The consensus back then was "oh well, unlucky, better luck next time"

Perhaps the next TG tourney can be open without a spot limit and teams can prove their worth with actual results

All I have to say for now is that makes ZERO sense to extend both sign up and ratings deadlines. Why would you fight for your 1v1 rating when at last moment people make a sneaky sign up?

Why not closing sign up 2 days ago and say "ok fight for the ratings till this new deadline"

My team was in so we didnt play anymore when the above team had 5 more points (a 15 point game is 5 average point)

Because later stage is more important, I think 1357 2468 groups would be better

I don't agree with this. Group stage is based on Seeding, and Qualification Stage is based in your performance. So this mode is rewarding teams 2, 4 because on paper they are facing weaker oponents. 4 Would have to face 1 instead, and 2 would have faced 3 instead.

So right now you're rewarding being seed 2 because again, on paper, you are facing weaker 4 6 8 who should be easier than 3 6 7. Therefore, you should have more chances to have a good result on the group and get into the QF with a better position.
Imagine 3rd team, he will have to play against 1st instead of 2nd, 5th instead of 6th and 7th will remain, so there is less likely they will have a better result in this group than if they had the normal seeding. I'd not be happy tbh.

But lanchi is right that 1458 2367 would reward 2 and 4 as well as they would have an "easier" semifinal because of that, if they make it this far.

1278 / 3456 is another option.

1st and 2nd seed are rewarded with an easier group and have no chance of meeting each other in the semi-finals but compete for an easier semi-final.
5th and 6th seed have a better chance of advancing than 7th and 8th seed.
3rd and 4th must beat 5th and 6th and compete with each other for an 'easier' semi-final.

1368 & 2457 feels like a good option but at this point in time when we know the seeds I do not think it should be changed.
1357 vs 2468 fells like one of the groups would be inherintly be stronger but compared to each teams relative power it should be all right.
Now when we know how the groups may look like should all favourites make it to the main stage: Secret, Suomi, Heresy, SY vs AM, VNA,FMSD, Slavs. It certainly feels one of the groups is much stronger. But having the system know inadvance is correct as you dont know how teams will fall into the groups. The problem is SY not giving effort in the ranking and not signing up with Vivi placed them 7th not 4th despite they had 50 bonus points like Suomi. But even like this they could fall to 6th or 8th instead and still be in the other group.

The best part is that its all in the hands of the teams how they perform and seeds and ranks are all irrelevant when games starts. May be a surprise and some of the favourite teams dont even make the groups who knows. Also with this format when 3 teams advance from each group we can easily see 3 teams from one group and 1 from the other at the semies.

Yep. For some reason I thought top 2 from each group went straight into semi-finals.

1st from each group go direct to semis and then 2nd and 3rd go to quarterfinals against 3rd and 2nd from other group.

Here's what you can do:

Create a new empty sheet on google docs and practically copy the structure of BoA's sheet with all sheets and such. Then you can use the =IMPORTRANGE function to import entire sheet from BoA's, via, for example:

=IMPORTRANGE("https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PABxlfDRPDxos_XqNRVraRRE2_kSNtmlqZIs3j7OhuY";"Teams!A1:Z100")

This way you are effectively going to be able to create an auto updating clone of BoA's official sheet.(should update rather quickly too, since it's an internal function, where Google only has to copy data from one of its sheets to another)

Afterwards you can go file->publish->tsv/csv to generate a static link for an easily readable file. Then as long as you figure out the location of cells you want to get results from you can extremely easily fetch for these sheets from within your code, parse them(most modern languages have built-in functions for that) and just access these cells directly.

Otherwise google sheets has some extensive API, you could try playing with it aswell.

In the pre qualifiers i believe that a team can be said to have cheated by slinging against the rules.

No admin decision was made as they lost anyway.

Can we assume an admin loss would have applied if they actually won.

Would it have been an admin loss for the game or the set?

This has been happening since the beginning of DE whenever there is a post imp game. Most players will just tolerate this horribly optimized game, as the streamers play it, and the streamers play it because there are tournaments.
