If they remove arena I will remove the game from my PC. Most fun map in the pool!It is Arena that is broken, not Arambai. Let's ask that Arena map is removed from the pool (Nomad was removed, why arena can't?) and/or less space inside the arenas, gold/stone outside the walls, etc., so that people has to leave the base before imperial age.
I don't know why but i always sense this:What is wrong about new burmese meta on arena? It is a high risk high reward strategy which to be effective needs to be executed very well and it pretty much works only with good teamplay and civ composition.
Not gonna even respond to you anymore. Keep living in your bubble. You have been complaining about anything and everything for years and instead of learning this game to at least semi-decent level you want to change everything you don't like because you don't know what to do. ByeI don't know why but i always sense this:
I took me 2 hours to perfect the 2 castle Arambai build order and so far I have won 4 of 5 games, i dont want this OP Build to be removed therefore Arambai aren't OP even tho they have 57% winrate in Arena TG. So F*** off with your Arambai nerfs and let me get this freelo
Thats basically what makes me doubtful that you are really against the nerf because Burmese is fine, but rather because it would ruin your elo climb

I put much work into this, so please dont give me a "thank god you aren't in the balance team"
It is a buff. When people write rate of fire they actually mean attack time interval... It should never be used. Why is the first nerf a nerf to Steppe Lancers? If I am not making them, I never see the unit.
Whats your ingame name. Under what name do you play? Not gonna even respond to you anymore. Keep living in your bubble. What forward castle? I was not saying anything about that at all. Learn to read please. It was about burmese that he can do those castles close to his walls to protect his base which is the case in 90% of games or he can do them somewhere more in the back to hide them that he is massing arambais which is very rare case and which he was talking about.Forward Castle vs 2 Defensive castles? @CZ_Mango full clown mode? I really think u are the troll here, while normally I would assume it's deathcounter 11
Please enlighten us how to counter arambai as a team.
In my eyes it's not a hard strategy. It's basically:
1. Pick pocket Burmese and Khmer
2. Go up late, build 2 castles, all eco on wood and gold, produce arambai
3. Hit player 1, 2 3 and 4
4. Let Khmer boom finish game
There is literally no high risk and always high reward. Even if u kill zero vills and completely die at home ur team will win.
What is wrong about new burmese meta on arena? It is a high risk high reward strategy which to be effective needs to be executed very well and it pretty much works only with good teamplay and civ composition. Just that a lot of people started to play it recently does not mean they play it well. There are several easy counters against it but most people just underestimate the strategy and then die. If you make the arambai more expensive then they will become pretty much useless again. You have a very short time window when you can do proper damage with this strategy to be viable and you sacrifice almost all eco. It is similar to other all in strategies like trush/FI.

I played around with this strategy a lot and at first it really seemed unstoppable, but when we started matching with the top rated teams I ran into a lot of trouble. The enemy doesn't really need to beat Arambais just stall till imp and win with eco.
The main problem defending it is most teams don't really play like a team and don''t plan the strategy together and are letting their teammates be harassed. On higher level I found its much different. They make more army and either defend teammates or attack your boomer so you have to go defend.
Oh and if there are so many Burmese in TG's people can just counter pick Berbers so they will sooner or later stop.
Its hilarious because if you sort the winrates of all TG and 1v1 in all Elo Ranges, you see Burmese at the top and Berbers at the buttom.Oh and if there are so many Burmese in TG's people can just counter pick Berbers so they will sooner or later stop.
Which you also haveHow do you "win with eco" when the Burmese player has a Khmer teammate?
So? It's just TG Arena and I doubt there are any meaningful statistics its so rarely picked. Its hilarious because if you sort the winrates of all TG and 1v1 in all Elo Ranges, you see Burmese at the top and Berbers at the buttom.
You can't just "counter pick" a civ thats statistically the worst on Arena
Which you also have
The full arambais strat is the lowest risk+highest reward strat I have seen in a long time in TG in a certain map. And it requires basically 0 skill besides taking 10 minute of your life to learn the very simple build order. Arambais don't even need to be microed, you don't need to make any eco at home besides queueing vils from a single tc and play with 5 farms the whole game. Just spam the arambai hotkey til you mass enough of them and then go annoy all 4 players whereas your other pocket picks khmer or other mega strong boom civ and kills everyone. I have faced that "super complex strat" in about 90% of my last arena TGs while having fun with friends til the point that I just decided to ban the map. I honestly have no idea whether this strat would work at top level in a tournament. But it's definitely boring to death and I personally believe it ruins all the fun of arena in random ranked team games.
And just for the record: trush actually requires skill; and FI is rather easy to counter in most of the cases. if you want to make an "all in" comparison I would rather choose the old edie arena style with a million azt monks and 3 farms in 1v1, which barely required skills and allowed a bunch of players to boost their elo like crazy. And even then, that strat required to micro monks at least.
It is true but it will always be like that because people will try to play the best civs available. I mean come on we had 15 years of age of hunswars in 1v1 because they just were the best civ around.Sad but true. Arena teamgames have become arambai/khmer boom fest. Something similar has happened to 4v4 arabia, where most of the times people pick same civs over and over again with the same xbow/indian camel combo almost in every game (from my experience).
Lately I've started to enjoy maps like Socotra or Mountain Pass for teamgames because facint the same 4 civs in arabia/arena is quite boring.
Those all dont break a gate in 10/15 seconds... The diffrence is you need 2 petards for each player you want to harass, and even then you usually cant go past the TC if they house/building wall towards TC. Arambai also run in and destroy your TC in 20 secondswood/gold like mayans, berbers, cumans or vietnamese for example.
