the current elo giving to teams is just based on the signup ratings stated. these ratings are based of the avg of there current and highest achieved rating put together. Can you please explain how you've calculated the average team elo?
As it states in the Rules and Settings Admins will have the final say on what a player's rating is, this is because a lot of players don't play 1v1 games or are clearly underrated. After signups have finished the tournament admins will go through each this and give them a final team rating and seed them accordingly.I know the seeding from rating will obvioulsy have limitations that you are aware of...but.... I would expect that most of the auszone peeps predominantly play tgs. So a rating from purely 1v1 can obviously be abused exceptionally. 1v1 seeding will only be semi legit if people are forced to play on the 1v1 ladder

All very well and good to a point, and I have already read that and still will provide this feedback about the rating. I do not think I am the only one here that thinks DE ratings are super ambiguous and very much in flux. And as you have only really started playing again Jordan would you expect that are a good judge of who is under/over rated on the ladder? - please don't take that negatively, I am stoked you are back playing. And this judgement could only be passed on players you are regularly playing with in the tgs - this does not apply to everyone.
If you are going to manually adjust ratings there are 2 easily foreseeable problems. 1.) how many people will be involved in this? 2-3? This is completely insignificant, please adjust your thinking here and open up a blind ranking system of at least 10 well known community members (e.g. shed, flight, christ, socks, zain, nagus, homer, caps, noodle, kiwi..etc etc - the more the better). This will provide you with a sufficient data set, and would preclude a lot of bias introduced from small sampling of a few admins. The bonus of this is that no one can bitch about this after as much as they could with what you are proposing. 2.) If you do what you propose after signups have closed what happens in the scenario where a team is now not eligible because you have ranked their players higher?
Please take this as the feedback it is. The current format for rating and manual seeding after signups leave a lot to be desired.
Best of luck with the tourney
I wanted to understand how the admins have decided on proxy 1v1 ratings for players who don't have a 1v1 rating. For example, I would have guessed a much higher 1v1 rating for the player "Bug ee".
Gold League: Rating average of under 1650
The average of the team rating must not be higher than 1650 on the 1v1 ranked ladder.
This means that if your rating is currently 1800 on the RM 1v1 ladder you must team with someone who is rated under 1400 so that the combined rating is lower then 1600.
All teams signing up must come under the 1600 average.
Admins are currently seeding teams and creating the groups. These will all be announced by tomorrow for the first week of games to commence.Hi so can I just confirm how it works how we get matched up, so this will start happening from 29th June? So the 'Brackets' and 'Group' stuff on this weekend - this is more for the admins, not for the players?
Sorry this is my first tournament styled thing so very new to it all
