Yes, i've already played on GR with the userpatch enabled already, you need to make sure that other players have the same version as you though.
But if you just want the widescreen part and still play on 1.0c then you can find the enhanced 1.0c exe in the "...\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Support" folder after installing the userpatch normally, it should perform at least as well as any other widescreen patch and might even contain more features about that - but i'm not sure how many userpatch features are used in the enhanced 1.0c version anymore though, 95% of the fixes+features are only in 1.4+.

Hey i just downloaded this and followed instructions but when i click on the new executable created i get the following msg :
"Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw."

I'm not sure what to do, i remember using that same widescreen patch on my old computer 2 years ago and having the same problem which a friend of mine fixed by messing with the bat file "wspatch" as he knew a bit how to rewrite it.
But unfortunately he doesn't play no more and i can't get a hold on him. Anybody has a solution ?

Also does anyone has a solution for aok 2.0 on gameranger as unfortunately 95% of aok rooms are in that version nowadays and aok voobly is dead ?

[linethru]i also tried the wspatch3.zip but it will not work for me, first it doesnt detect the install folder than it says wrong exe,
i just need this for age of kings since for the conquerors i use the userpatch.[/linethru]

On voobly i never get hd quality, the resolution is total crap, so this patch is the fix for that?
(Now i only age in game, with that mini community)
