I have similar issues. Out of blue, my games begin to lag so heavily, that I can do nothing. Not even write or anything. Only solution is switch to desktop and close game. Meh I uninstalled game and be gone with it.This might be a wrong thread to ask this, but I have a question.
Over like past ~~20 games that I've played there were probably like 8-9 games where either I, my opponent, or both were experiencing lag.
Sometimes it was that my opponent would pause and say something along the lines of "lag hard can u fix" even though I'd have no issues
Sometimes we'd both be lagging, and sometimes it'd be just me(or at least my opponents would say that they have no problems)
My initial impression of DE was that the lag for both sides would be static, meaning that if, say, A has 300ms to server, and B has 100 ms to server, then B would still be playing the game as if he had 300ms(similarly to Voobly)
Is that not how it works?
Does that mean that there can be some actual server advantage, where a guy closer to a server would have a smoother experience than someone further away?
Or do I just completely misunderstand something?
Aside from that, after the recent hotfix the games feel actually decent now. The ever so frequent hun wars on ara, mongol wars on steppe and briton wars on arena can be slightly annoying after a while but this is something that can be easily improved going forward
I have the weird problem that spectating is like playing a turn-based game. There's a freeze... then units move QUICKLY, then a sort of freeze/slow down, then everything goes QUICKLY. It's so annoying... but at least so far in regular game play I haven't noticed that.I have similar issues. Out of blue, my games begin to lag so heavily, that I can do nothing. I get that in general DE technically allows for better experience, given that its based on servers, hovewer performance issues don't explain the inconsistencies in when the problems occur. As far as I know most lag issues in DE are lated to performance and not to internet, actually the server experience is better than voobly's, I'm able to experience a lag free game (internet lag) with people that live far from me.
what about the glitch where when you have both a vil and a treb selected, and you right click to repair the treb, the treb starts packing up for no reason?
Guess the treb was somehow receiving a command to attack itself => out of range => packupwhat about the glitch where when you have both a vil and a treb selected, and you right click to repair the treb, the treb starts packing up for no reason?

Workaround : use repair hotkey
Yea, attacking itself makes no sense 11Actually, that might be the case. Still I feel like it should not be this way!

Nah the game with you was an example of issue-free games, maybe because we are so close to each other(I live in Poland atm), otherwise I wouldn't have spent 20 minutes randomly chasing around your villagers and went straight for the kill instead.Did your game lag against me last night on Steppe (Incas vs Slavs)? I use VPN because our ISP in Bergen where I live have problem when I play DE. I used to disconnect all the time before. On my PC the game runs well. I can say that I didn't feel any lag when I played against you. How was it for you?
There were in fact two kind of lagstwo patches ago I had the problem of speed going really slow to spikes of very fast speed, and some other guys had the same problem, of course some people here says that it was not DE fault but pc lag (free defenders)....., guess what?, the last patch fixed that, so yes, it was DE patch which screw up the game for some people, I am telling you this so you dont give up, each patch screw some people and the next one another, they fix bugs and creates bugs, I am just telling myself, lets wait until the end of 2020, maybe they can release a real playable game.
I am getting the same on 4v4 my fps are beyond the 60's, everything is ok on my rig, but when i check my ping with the different regional servers, i see on red and yellow a lot of locations at specific times, that could explain the yellow clock.Well it always show yellow/red clock next to my name. But if I check CPU, GPU or RAM everything runs at 30% max. Also I tried lowering graphics options. Got benchmark 1200++ Still no change.
Generally speaking, its getting better and better. Crashes and disconnections should be the only concern for casual players. I dont think gameplay glitches would matter much.I know there was hype before the release, but then directly major issues with game crashes etc. Latest I've heard is that things have gotten WORSE with 2 or 3 big updates, is this true?
It all depends on how you value the game and money. Anyway, if you are not looking for further sale (like 50% off), just buy it.I'm basically looking for your honest recommendations; should purchase this game now (on sale) or wait until the major stuff is fixed? I hope I get time to try this game out in 2-3 weeks.
