Actually, one of the classic definitions of stupidity goes "stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".
I thought that was insanity

HD was a $20 game, plus whatever the expansions cost. No microtransactions, loot boxes, etc. In the current climate, that hardly counts as a cash grab. For my $40 or however much, I've sunk thousands of hours into the game. That's a better ROI than any other game I've ever purchased. The servers are **** and there have been many other technical mishaps, but dismissing the whole game as a car crash is just missing the point.
HD has reintroduced a 20-year-old game to a new generation of players. It has unquestionably reinvigorated the pro scene. It's provided the impetus for WK, which has made the game richer and more balanced. In a way, HD has been a victim of its own success. It was released as a fun, inexpensive nostalgia kick, and now people on here are slamming it for lacking the infrastructure of an esport. Perspective please!
No doubt, the reason it has failed to lure the pros off Voobly is that it just hasn't been a good enough game. But this is literally the whole reason we are getting DE. This time, Microsoft seem like they are targeting the pro community (I don't see what other market is out there given that HD already exists). Of course we should manage our expectations, but if DE does for the pros what HD has done for casual gamers, it would be a huge success.
Its Danish and Seljuqs. This first horse has, as above guy said, an attack bonnus against cavalry and the second one is basically a mounted petard. First one costs 60 food 60 gold, and the second one costs 180 gold.
The unit on the left looks like some sort of a lancer. Perhaps an unique unit of the Balts (or Polish for that matter), that is sort of a anti cavalry unit, as others have speculated?
MS is also teasing that there are more "*more* exciting news coming later today". Maybe they will announce Age III:DE as well?.
You are correct. I meant to say that we might get more news on Aoe3:DE. Although if I had to speculate, Aoe 3:DE will be released next year and Aoe4 a year after that.Age 3 DE has actually already been announced when they announced Age 2 DE
