I wonder how their integration works. Apparently your score is automatically recorded. I suppose they could find the match results by Steam IDs and lobby name if they had access to that data.
Team secret are sponsoring this.
All questions on a post card to, Viper Daut Tatoh Nili and Slam.
Define "legit"Mogul is apparently a legit esport company, but this still sounds so much like a scam 11
I see there being little to no interest in broadcasting the event, up until the finals, so there will be little to no promotion over the year through major streams. Who really wants to see ACCM, BacT, Cool, Chart beating up on nobodies for a year?
Also RIP Japanese players "Due to local laws, Japanese players who are eligible for cash winnings will receive additional Razer Silver instead of cash."
Getting the chance to win useless money instead of real money.
Local laws. You made lot of points, some of them valid, but if local laws in Japan forbid to receive cash winnings in this circunstance I do not think that's a problem of Mogul and very different than a particular donating some money by paypal (T90, Nili or Memb )
tbh, that this is possible is more interesting than the tournament itself.I wonder how their integration works. Apparently your score is automatically recorded. I suppose they could find the match results by Steam IDs and lobby name if they had access to that data.
This whole thing seems like a black hole at first sight and analyzing a bit too but with naive organization. I keep wondering what would have been if that money was invested in major tournaments like NAC, BoA, HC3 or even NC.
My biggest fear is that Microsoft gets involved with money in such way that they start thinking the game doesn't deserve this attention and the blame fall to us.
But anyway I guess we need more information and watch what the tournament have for us.
thats interesting :D there are about 4 different rules pages you have to puzzle together though. some really hard to fingd through obscure menues and links, so might be in there somewhere.I wonder why it is called asia cup since the rules dont say anything about having to be asian

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for your interest in the Age of Empires II Asia Cup. We're thrilled at the interest and feedback we've received and to ensure we deliver the best tournament possible we've decided to delay the start date of the tournament to Wednesday the 15th of April so we have plenty of time to review the feedback received.
We look forward to seeing you compete next week in the Age of Empires Asia Cup!
