Hi,
for all who don't know anything about the topic:

Macros in AoC basically allow you to make many things which need a few mouseclicks just by pressing a single button. The examples bromite is using in the video above are incredible, allowing people to save so much time compared to the enemy who isn't using this. Moreover - imagine this in DM which is way more about speed than RM.
Special case is the monk micro macro. Let's say you're in imperial, having 40 monks with theocracy and enemy is sending 40 hussars on your monks. If you're fast and see it immediately you can possibly convert like 10 - 15, all monks will die, enemy will have like 20+ hussar in the end.
However you might have programmed macro under 1 button. You select full group of 40 monks and you click convert on one of the incoming hussars. Then you press the macro button and you have only 39 monks selected while the 40th monk is converting the hussar you clicked. Another click on another incoming husssar, macro button - 38 selected 2 already converting different units. This is extremely fast and effective way, we've tested this with a friend, the outcome (when enemy doesn't have heresy) is usually like 20 - 30 monks survives and about 25 hussars get converted, rest dead. This is just one of the monk macros, seen at least 3 ones all with small differences.
It allows you to play extremely simple game without any skill requirements against way better players doing way more skillful strategies. In regular games on Voobly you're basically allowed to do this and there are some 18 - 19+ Arena players with 15+ skill, only winning games using full monks and this macro. And actually winning a fight against this is incredibly hard, unless you have heresy or way more LCs than enemy has monks.
My game against this: http://www.voobly.com/match/view/15033448 but there are more. I've also seen Metal losing some aztec wars against this guy, because of his monk micro, however there are so many fights in this game with LCs + arbs vs monks so I think it's a better example. Seeing how slow he plays rest of the game I don't think it's possible he's that incredibly fast with monks. Don't comment how I played, it wasn't good.
My point is - should this be allowed or not? Before MoA4 I've been discussing this with Racer, if I'm allowed to use macros during the tournament, we both agreed it shouldn't be allowed and I didn't use it. However I know at least 1 player who used the monk macro during the tournament. So, should be this allowed or punished? I'd like to see Voobly doing something against it, because this isn't the way AoC should go IMO.
