Anyone Else having this problem? we need a fix and are desprate

So my buddy and i are playing games, and mid game it just boots him to the main menu. automatically. how do we fix this. it happens to 66% of games. please help. hes turned off all his mods. we don't get it.

Is it AOE2 or 4?
For Aoe2,
If you get the game via Steam, try to check integrity of files, that's only thing I can think of right now.
Do you have an hdd? I remember a long article where old hdds are causing some troubles also, what's your benchmark score?

its aoe2. We will check the integrity of the files. what is HDD? His benchmark score is 1160

OKAY SO WE FOUND A FIX

we had to reinstall the game. Check the integrity of the files. And then we did the benchmark test.

What's weird is we did all of those things but in reverse and it didn't seem to fix it. It wasn't until he checked the integrity of the files AFTER re installing the game it seemed to work.

If it was the same issue I was going to ask Fool of a Took how he solved this but apparently you've already managed by yourselves. Good luck and may it not happen again :P

I also got a new problem ive not had and im not able to que up because I can't click the find match button.

I have picked favorite map and I am "marked" for 1v1.

Ive got this error message but im not able to read what it says, select what to que? anyone know easy fix?

I just played a game and it worked fine but when I qued for next I could not click the find match button, I turned my addons on after the first game and Ive tried to turn them all off and restarted computer + aoe but still same message


Edit: I think nvm, I see now its server maintenance in an hour ^^
