Announcement - Continental War II

Welcome to Continental War 2

This second edition of the tournament features 8 civ pools from different regions of the world. 8 highly competitive clans from America and Europe have chosen a pool and will only play with those civs in an attempt to win the juicy 500 USD price pool donated by ThatGuy. The event will take place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 of November. It will be live streamed in English by Nili AoE, and in Spanish in Mundo AoE. The Civ Pools and the teams are the following:

Very thanks to all people that supported this tournament, from the sponsors, organizers, designers, streamers... to the hundreds of viewers that watched the event trought the 3 different official channels. With all respect to the top ECL teams, was good to see all this superb teams playing at very high level, showing there is AoE beyond Secret or aM.

I want to thank specially @ThatGuy , who was the guy that began Continental War with It 1st edition, the man behind the idea, who fuelled this 2nd edition sponsoring again; and Mundo AoE community, that gave everything to make this possible. This guys did all the graphic design, coorganized, streamed 100% of the games in their YouTube Channel... was simply amazing.

I really enjoyed organizing this, and the teams were very colaborative since the begining. I have the feeling we could see a CW3 in the future , and that would be even better.

Congratulations to Chilean Masters, well deserved succesors of nC as CW Champions. Also to RoR and Arg for their 2nd and 3rd placement.

Big thanks to @Abraxas @Forever and their team for making this tourney run smoothly. Everything from the website to all the teams being on time shows professionalism and preparation for this tourney.

What i enjoyed is that any team can win and getting to see new strategies being used to catch the opponent off guard.

Its like not puting France in Europe

Well it does seem like thats something people could need to re-evaluate in the near future, if you know what I mean.

 

Letting one of the top 5 of world, 2600 teaming With two 2200 kinda kill the principe of this tournament, and its interrest aswell.

It was made so 8 non ecl clan play, real clan (I remember forever very long debat about making tournament that is for real clan like cz nC ror etc) however gaucho is an historical Argentinian clan, feage joining the clan just for this tournament is the exact opposite of what you wanted, and the exact exemple of what you was against.

Anyway playing for 2nd place is still cool, np
