AOE-II DE Age of Empires URL Helper stopped working [?]

As of a few months ago, using the join button on aoe2.net (which opens up AOEURLHelper.exe in AoE2DE folder), doesn't work anymore. The program opens for a split second but nothing happens inside the game. Has anyone been having the same issue? The same issue occurs on aoe2recs.com/dashboard/

[RESOLVED] AoE2.net Spectate button no longer working. Someone please help me!!!

EDIT: I managed to fix it with some trial and error in the Registry Editor. If anybody is wondering how, there is a tutorial here on how to create a custom protocol handler, and for the aoe2de protocol, this is how it looks the way that I did it: I've posted this in a couple of different places...

Thank you! For whatever reason my default app was set to this. I set it to the one inside the steam folder and it works. Pretty embarrassed I missed that, thank you all.
