looks way better for me as wellDid they do anything with the servers/connectivity? Pings are looking very promising.
If it takes an update of software on the client side to improve ping then honestly.. I don't know what they were doing beforeDid they do anything with the servers/connectivity? Pings are looking very promising.

Try disable the UI mods
Indeed. As long the game seems to be broken after every patch they should keep the 1min thing. I had to resign from 3 team games before I got rid of my UI bugs which made playing impossible. After that another player on my team got same problem and had to resign too. Some nice lost puntos there, my teammates had to be happy. If they really did that, then that's honestly a terrible change.
There are just often situations where quitting before 1min is, honestly, justified, and DE hasn't been making this much easier either: the lag in the past weeks has been frankly horrible(from one game with no issues to other where both players have massive issues to other where only one does); then you have also some potential game breaking bugs or some rare cases of known cheaters.
As long as being able to quit the game without losing ELO is a matter of being able to skip a potentially extremely unfun and uncompetitive game to be able to play a good and solid one, I think it should be very much allowed.
Though the arguably better alternative would obviously be to bring old save&exit back, where quitting the game without losing ELO was possible as long as both players consented
No, not really, ESPECIALLY considering the way they implemented the UI. It should be easy to do it entirely modularly, but the modularity in DE is extremely limited to the point that I wonder why they even did it the way they did in the first place.Isnt it somewhat expected that UI mods may break if there are significant changes to the UI? I dont see how they would account for every UI mod out there. I may be wrong with my assessement, so someone smarter might correct me on this.
I didn't try it yet, but I don't like the balance changes. Leitis are going to be broken. Bulgarians were actually nerfed and vikings buffed. Loom for goths seems an uninspired bonus and Teutons Paladins seems unnecessary. Why take out khmers cannons, instead of nerfing their eco a little more?
It's incredible, but a noob like me seems to understand bet the balance than the devs.

I think this actually is a rather poor system (unless there's a very specific issue that is beyond the scope of what can be tested internally, and the beta is focused on that issue). There are paid QA teams that test the product before it goes live. It shouldn't be necessary for unpaid users to do this work.can't we go back to the HD days where they released betas before they actually released the patch?
