Been playing some unranked BF on DE last week. Found out it's actually super easy to consistently double / triple lure the extra boars with a villager in a single trip (due to only needing 1 arrow shot).

Looking forward to trying out a quad / penta lure if I ever find that many boars #TheSkyIsTheLimit

Maybe because the settings were on 'easy' which made the boars have less attack? Don't know if it works that way.

Nah, it was possible on voobly as well but u had to micro a lot more. U basically use the boars to block eachother so you shoot the furthest one first, then shoot the next one once its furthest, etc...

In the past u needed 2 shots on every boar so u spent more time aggro'ing the boars. Inevitably they would get some hits in so you needed sc/sheep to block the boars on the way back.

Due to the change where u need only 1 arrow shot u can now shoot multiple boars without getting attacked before the walk back. This means u don't need the sheep/sc unless u doing some crazy far lure.

Ive done this on BF. The boars seem to get stuck on each other and you need to sometimes reaggro one of them

Shouldn't they still track as long as other boars are in their line of sight? Like if the bird flies over.

I think this is not about being out of line of sight but more bugging out due to being blocked - similar to what happens when you build a house to save a failed lure

Thats why i said you need to re aggro one. Since doing so ensures they all still follow.

Although their displayed range is 7, mangonels :
- can shoot up to a range of 8 tiles when targeting directly at a unit or building
- can shoot up to a range of 7 tiles when using Target Fire, but in that case the area of effect will also deal damage up to the 8th tile.

mangonel-line delete doesnt only help with hills but also with splash damage

Siege rams are immune to bombard towers, but not so much to bombard cannons. weird.

This was actually nerfed because back in aok it was virtually impossible to kill bombard towers with siege rams.

Didn't know you could click a wood/stone/gold collecting vill to take a boar, and the resource will not be lost till you start harvesting the boar. Can improve your drush.

You couldn't before DE, but as far as I remember with DE it was always there and should be in the earliest changelogs.

It was introduced with patch 35584 (february) in order not to punish misclicks that hard, not always there IIRC

I assume you are right. I did not play any games on it before February and there were not many tournament games apart from NAC before it, so maybe it was only there back then.

On the same topic, is there a place with a reliable changelog from aoc 1.0c to the current DE version available? The only thing I found was the changelog on the wiki (https://ageofempires.fandom.com/wiki/Age_of_Empires_II:_Definitive_Edition), and I don't think it is up to date. Things are further complicated by some changes that are introduced and reverted back like the changes to Mangudai siege bonus mentioned in the thread.
So, is there a reliable, simple and up-do-date changelog from aoc 1.0c or UP to DE's current patch?

I learnt a few months ago to put Pikes on `defensive mode` (cheers Hera ) and just learnt how to `Patrol` my Pikes after reading a post in this thread
