Abierto Argentino (Argentinian Open)

Some of the biggest communities and organizers in Argentina got together to bring you the first Argentinian Open! A 2-weekend tournament, 1v1 tournament open to all Argentinian players without any ELO restriction.

The first 4 players of the Gold Bracket will qualify to the Argeking tournament, to be played on January 2021.

Format

The maximum tournament size is going to be 418 players.

The tournament will consist of 2 stages:

1. Group stage: groups of 5-7 players, "GSL-style"(double elimination)
   1. Each group will have one "high seed" player. The rest of the seeds will be random. We will use the ELO at the end of Monday, November 30.
2. Single elimination stage:
   1. Gold bracket: 1st place of each group will qualify.
   2. Silver bracket: 2nd place of each group will qualify.
   3. Bronze bracket: 3er and 4th place of each group will qualify.

Players with an ELO higher than 2000 will qualify directly to the Gold Bracket, without playing the Group stage.

Every match played during the first weekend will be Bo1.

Every match played during the second weekend will be Bo3.

Hi, I think there's something wrong with the name of one of the organizers. Spanish is not my main language, but I believe you conjugate "todos", as in, "all". He may want to correct that typo eventually.

Hi, thanks for the answer, but it remains wrong gramatically, and possibly corrupting your language to a term that only exists for a small segment of Spanish speakers worried to "include" people under the replacement of a letter. Being "well-written" and "gramatically wrong" is possible, and you should be inclusive to the majority of Spanish speakers and make your voice heard to the maximum amount of people as possible.

By making the grammatical error a function of your brand, you are not including people, but rather alienating the Spanish speakers that won't understand this language function. Best of success, see you!

 

I've have already signed up. just a doubt: I wasn't able to find the limits for the brackets. I'm almost 1300 1v1. I'm in the broze bracket? or in the silver one?

I'm not part of it, and it demands a long explanation and it's hard for me in english, but you probably have a misconception on what inclusive here means, on how the inner mechanisms of language work and the wordplay involved here (let's say aoeparatodes means something different than aoeparatodos from a signified perspective) but thanks for your flawless logic and for your explanation on how they should be named, on how our primary language works and for reducing it to grammar that is just a part of it!

I understand your point of view, and technically it is as you said. There are many natives in the Spanish language who think the same as what you have exposed here, because in reality it is a corruption of the language and it should not be.
