Author`s note: A2LView is a lister plugin for Total Commander. This plugin is intended to display information about AoE2 recorded games as well as scenario files. Supported extensions: mgl, mgx, scn, scx (AOK & AOC recorded games, AOK & AOC scenario files)
DOWNLOAD: A2LView-1.1.zip (1.46 MB)
Installation: With "Total Commander" v6.5+ (download), just open archive and TC will install this plugin automatically. Then you can just select the file (recorded game) you want to see data for, and press F3 ("View").
Step by step installation and usage:
1) Download and install Total Commander.
2) Download A2LView-1.1.zip, don`t unpack it.
3) Run Total Commander, and use it to find A2LView-1.1.zip file (like you would do with Windows Explorer, for example). It should be where you saved it when downloading.
4) Once you find it, just select it and press "Enter" key on your keyboard (like you want to enter that archive). Total Commander will report of finding a plug-in, and ask if it should be installed (something like that) - click "Yes" (or "Ok").
5) Use Total Commander and browse to your "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\SaveGame" folder (or wherever you have some recorded games / scenario files).
6) Select the file (game) you would like to view, and just press "F3" on your keyboard. The game should be opened using this plug-in, showing you all the data (as you can see in screenshots I gave in the first post).
