Hi

New to the AOCZone but not AOE (MSN Zone woot :D )

Bit daunting for new members of the forum to dive straight into conversation / strategy, a simple "Introduce yourself" section could be nice just for people to say "Hi" and possibly get to chat with some people before jumping in.

Cya in the games hopefully

hi,

so, might wanna introduce yourself then?

-What was your best known nick on the Zone and about when were you active back then?
-Care to elaborate on this bit from your website? "The goal for the Lost Legion is to be able to provide a selection of Weekly and Monthly events, leagues and competitions, where Legion members are able to compete for and win a range of prizes on offer."

I had quite a few names, but probably best known (to those that knew me) as x1x_x1x, WololoWarrior and CSA_Charles. (Pretty sure CSA is still going as well?)

AOE History: Obsessive player back on the MSN Zone from game release for the next few years, absent from the games for close on 10-11 years (I know, I feel bad too). Not really a fan of the 1v1 scene and much prefer the joy (frustration) of team games and the weird and wonderful maps like TTF Racing / 8 Player FFA's on a Tiny map etc

Having worked in iGaming for the past 5-6 years and fully aware of how much money is thrown around in cyberspace and having a little insight into "how the system works", I do not see any reason why teams/clans are not able to generate sources of income that cost the players absolutely nothing, with funds and prizes raised being able to be used for regular competition and league prizes.

A community is only ever as good as the sum of its members and member activities and there are lots of very simple ways to provide regular and constant entertainment and attractions without an excessive overload of work / costs involved.

As with most things it takes time, but the journey is half the fun so feeling like it's very much "good to be back" :D

Now all I need to do is work on my build orders and micro management! :?

yeah, good read, welcome.

About the subject of personal introduction, what about expanding this profile page into something more dynamic and meaningful? Maybe a bit like facebook or linkedin, or should we just use voobly profiles for that. However, i do not see that happening there either.
I would love to have a timeline where to put my highlights etc.
