Noob topic, I know, but I'm one of those players that enjoys chilling playing against the A.I.
In the latest update, it got the base-walling skill unlocked, which is nice since it mimics better how a real player approaches games, but besides that, I feel like it's somewhat weaker overall.
I'm used to playing against it and I just finished playing 5 games with this new version, trying the new civs, on the same settings I usually use (Extreme with a little handicap in their favor), and I found it considerably easier than before. Not by a huge difference, but noticeable.
While the walling is a nice touch, it always leaves some holes so it doesn't really changes a lot in terms of getting into their base. Its general playstyle now feels quite more passive from Castle Age and ahead, but it's not particularly a good booming-type of passivity. Prior to that, in Feudal, it still has the usual make-way-too-many-skirms-no-matter-the-civ issue, mostly, but a bit slimmer in numbers there too, I guess expectable since it's now investing into walling.
Was it just my experience from this first handful of games, or does anyone else feel that way?
