[$500+] Double Cup 3 Announcement

Another year has passed, time for another Double Cup! Double Cup 3 - in collaboration with Elhyar and once more assisted by @DaisyChain.

Will TaToH be able to defend his title?

Again we will see fast 1v1 action on various multiple town center start maps, including some starts with more villagers or in Regicide game mode. The map pool will be similarly big as in the previous editions, consisting of the most popular maps from Double Cup 2 and multi-tc start versions of recent tournament and map contest maps.


The single elimination stage will begin on October 03, with the Ro64 and Ro32 being played as Bo3 (HM/HM/Double Arabia) and the deciders as Bo5 (2x HM/HM, then Triple Arabia).

Ro32: Until October 16
Ro16: Until Ocotber 30

In the double elimination stage Ro16 – WB/LB semifinals will be Bo5, WB/LB final Bo7 and the Grand Final Bo9 with 1:0 lead for the WB Final winner.

That's a good idea. If you can find someone who wants to volunteer as admin for it, we can make a category with channels on the Double Cup server. Otherwise maybe a bit later, as being admin for both of them at the same time would be too much for me.

Today the second player to reach the final and challenge the defending champion TaToH will be determined.

I'm without a computer since a month and have been really sick the last almost 2 weeks, but thankfully @DaisyChain and players handled everything well, when I couldn't help.
Good news is that I have been approached by someone who wants to make a very generous donation and once that has happened, the prize pool will be around $1000 (depends a bit on the exchanged rate later, because some donations are in USD and some in €), with players down to #8 receiving a share.

 

TaToH defended his title today.
