I heard that Magyars/Hungarians were also considered by Ensemble Studios (ES) instead of the Huns. In the end they went with the Huns, probably because they fitted better the theme "Conquerors", and they had a very famous person (Attila) to make a campaign for. Btw, I chose the name "Magyars"...
Hi Hunyadi_,
Thank you for tagging me, I really like these discussions about civilisation design. They bring back good memories. You are right, I am Hungarian and the biggest part of the Magyar civ design comes from me. However, I was not the boss on the team, so the final decisions...
Hi guys, I have just come across this discussion.
Thanks for inviting me to this thread.
Yeah, that's true. I designed the Incan civ, which has remained very similar to its original design besides some minor tweaks over time. I am very excited to read about your guesses of the background of the...
I love bacalhau :)
I thought we would try to find something like food from Tajikistan. Tatar people still exist after all. Or if not, we would try to cook something following a recipe.
Good ideas, thx
Completely by chance. I have been living here for several years and he arrived only a couple of months ago to study at the university.
You missed the farms. :D What do they grow there? But yeah, that's a possible approach as well. :)
My friend and former colleague at Forgotten Empires, Sam and I decided to do an AoE food challenge, since we are both living currently in Oslo. We want to eat the typical dishes of as many AoE civs as possible. It will be interesting, since the number of civs is ever increasing. Some will be...
I am a bit disappointed seeing that Britons are still being nerfed. They are not the best, not the worst, but have weaknesses in certain cases, which could be helped a little bit. They have got nearly nothing since AoC.
Supplies looking really good. I have always wanted to get through something...
An interesting twist to a tournament like this would be civ switch after each game. That way every player would have the chance to play the most games with their chosen civ, but they would have to play the opponent's one as well a few times.
I know this is a pretty lame question, but how can one watch WK recs? I have been away from AoE for quite a while, but now I feel like watching some good recs! :)
Rgeadn, no, re-winding will never be possible with this tool. Replaying the recorded game requires the full game engine, so only the game itself can do that. And playing it backwards is even impossible for the game (if you mean that by re-winding).
Hi guys. The problem looks a bit more complicated. I think the new UP version has changed something in the rec file structure, so the program is not easy to fix. I hope there would be an official documentation on how the data is stored in the file now. Anyway, I won't have time to fix it any...
@mk13g10n: I am glad you find it useful. Have fun with it. :)
@linetyReborn: thx!
@Huehuecoyotl: Right now it is not possible to configure, the rename format is hard coded. It would be up for a future development. Unfortunately I don't think I will have time for this in the near future.
