Ok so for me personally and maybe some others share this dream.
I HAVE FOR EVER WANTED TO JOIN RTS PLAYERS from sc2 and wc3 etc etc AND I WANTED THEM TO PLAY MY FAVOURITE AOE2. Now it seems they are playing something very close to aoe2 and I love it.

I suppose the problem you describe Shakal with the smaller tourneys granting "easier" elo is only a problem if there is a bigger number of evenly ELOed people, where some are able to get the easier elo while others do not. In other words there would be contenders for #1 in those smaller...
Oh okay, forgive me - I must have not watched the tourneys with rd_champ winning hard but i do remember he was a top contender all the time. Sorry and thanks for the correction.

I think DevilZ_High and Arch_Koven finals match in Clash of the Titans, actually quite a bit of games in CotT inspired many people to follow same strat patterns. High and Aardvark were insane back then.
