After reading the comments from sixtyt3 from that thread, the dude just plays dictator for fun.
He banned the mods, deleted messages he did not like (even his current moderator pointed out that he is censoring the subreddit). He has not provided any proof or examples of "mod power abuse"...
It's funny how suddenly this is all about Grath and that ridiculous drama incident where two people go "you banned me so I banned you" nonsense. People being mad because a mod got a slap on wrists instead of being hung from a tree is dumb.
Issue still persists that the dude who showed up took...
Now revisiting that thread, he actually removed some of Robo's comments. Also a lot of the comment chains that were there have just straight up disappeared. So unlike what he claims, he is actually actively sensoring comments in the subreddit.
Dude just got a big stick and wants to whack r/aoe2...
Hello everyone!
Some of you may have seen me in reddit, in a twitch chat or perhaps even watched my own miserable stream. I'm a random newbie from Finland who has enjoyed playing AoE2 on voobly in last 6 months, but due to a new a job I'm starting to lack time and energy to play the game myself...
Well I'd assume that is alright, considering it's quite a lot of money in question, I'd most definitely be pretty sore about losing a series. That'd tell more about the people flaming the loser than the loser himself.
I agree with everything in this post, but if I had to compare NAC2 to Escape league, I'd have to say the latter is aiming to be like a proper professional league, while NAC2 is a bit more lax setup or at least that is what the tournament has so far conveyed to viewers.
The difference being, NAC2...
One thing I caught during the first day that seemed awkward was the interview couch, when interviewing multiple people, the interviewer should probably sit on one of the sides so that he doesn't need to turn his head when asking the questions. It's also probably easier to direct questions to...

Viewers and publicity are important for the tournament organizers, no one is willing to do work regularly, if they stand to gain nothing of it. If you want sustainable and repeating tournaments/leagues or other competitions for lower level players, there needs to be someone who cares...
With this small community it is impossible to organize lower level tournaments, which benefit the organizers or even manage to attract proper viewership.
Only way you could produce a successful tournament in the lower level of gameplay is to have the popular streamers pitch in. This will...
I guess not many here have looked at other games and e-sports in general, getting coaching from actual pro is considered near invaluable experience. That is why ex-pro's who go into coaching can charge up to 100$ per hour if not even more in some cases.
Anyone who is decently high up the ladder...
I must admit, I've no knowledge of AoE2's past tournament arrangements too much and about what has and has not been done so far.
From what I've gathered from games such as LoL, CS and SC2 the best system so far I've seen is round robin groups for double elimination seeding, just like they used...
