That's not luck, though, but the correct first-order approximation: (1-p)^n=1-n*p+o(p). So if the probability p of an event is small, the probability that this event occurs at least once in n independent runs is approximately n*p.
I'll leave it to the community to provide an estimate for the...
Jung himself was quite fond of astrology. For example, he wrote in one letter that he often used his patients' horoscopes to enlighten particularly difficult cases. So ...
Well, "I go for eco approach"-Viper, "7 TC play"-Daut and "boom up to paladins"-Max seem like the perfect team to pioneer the new 3 pockets meta in 3v3s.
Using the Saracen market bonus definitively has its place, for example I remember Tatoh getting some sick uptimes with it. But stuff like "9 vills on stone to sell stone for wood to build monasteries" probably can't be salvaged (unless you're playing stone nothing or something).
Of course these were different times, and the Sheriff in particular was really creative when it comes to builds/strats. Just saying that copying builds from back then is probably not good idea, even for lower level play.
Yeah, not really practical. 14 min is the optimal castle time for a standard 24+2 FC, no need for any market abuse. Plus stuff like 9 on stone to sell stone and buy wood for monasteries doesn't sound like a good idea either.
Since this corona situation is only temporary and player numbers will probably (unfortunately) not stay that high in the long term, I would caution against creating new ladders since I feel that could really break up the player base. And there are always quite a few hosts allergic to zero...
Most of the things described here can be explained by (too) large hitboxes. But does someone understand what happens in the video in the OP? The first click was clearly on the skirmisher, and yet the second somehow selets all villagers immediately - there is no visible delay between selecting...
How would that help, though? Your opponent obviously has to know the password, and if they do, they can just pass it on to whoever helps him to cheat (or enter as a spectator with a second account).
Maybe spectating has to be restricted to accredited casters in tournaments. But I don't think...
Yet another idea for future versions: The lowest seeded player gets the best civ from his list and blocks the 2nd best, the second lowest seeded player gets the best remaining civ and blocks the second best remaining civ etc. This might be even better suited to balance out the skill difference...
And here is what the original poster of this video says:
"For people asking what happened to the Honk Honk vid, I privated it. When I made the vid I only knew of the meme as to "clown on" other people etc. but the meme has been taken over and is too well associated with nazism, something I...
As mungo said, it's the ELO system applied to the single games in tournaments. You win and lose points just as if this were a rated game. Stage of the tournament is not taken into account.
Maps:
- Choose either Arabia (open map) or Arena/Black Forest (closed map) to practice. Take a look in the steam lobby which ones are played regularly. If you already get in trouble in dark age, a closed map might be the better start.
Build Orders:
- I agree with iViktorius and andreskbr...
