Thanks for clarifying this. For me it does not work as I will buy a gift card to top up my wallet because I do not want to provide my bank account or credit card to steam just for one single game. Anyway my description might be misleading for other reader.
My doubts come from the stream of a professional caster who initially had hardly over 1000 score with for sure a better machine than my laptop is.
The bottle neck of my laptop could be the Intel HD Graphics 4400 graphic card and maybe the CPU (i7 4600U) with a base frequency of 2.1 GHz only...

is there any option to execute the performance check required by Age of Empire 2 DE to see if the hardware allow rated games later on? For 1v1 games a score >900 and for team games >1000 is required and I don't want to buy the game if I can not use it later on...
