Can I please make an absolute, on my knees begging request to not Chrazini our woodlines? Ponds offer no strategic value to Arabia and purely make the map more frustrating, both for players and viewers.
I don't think focusing on the strength of Flemish Revolution is all that helpful: the tech itself is not necessarily overpowered in everyday gameplay. There are instances, of course, where it is busted, in large part because it's attached to arguably the strongest closed map 1v1 civ at present...
Iirc, he only got his visa for RBW:L after he would have travelled.
Edit: Correction: apparently it was TGM where Vinch got his visa too late to travel.
Greetings one and all,
We are delighted to present the second edition of LAN Madness! Running from 30th June to 2nd July, LAN Madness is a bring-your-own-computer, Age of Empires II LAN event hosted in St Helens, UK.
Following the success of last year's event, we are back, planning a full...
That would still be very off-putting to a lot of people. I know I've only played something like three solo queue TGs in total, because I play TGs as much for a social experience as anything else. Forcing me to play 30 solo queue games first would probably see me take three months over it because...
I picked that sentence because you did not offer any of that context. In the context of your post, you made it seem like the intended purpose of LP was to disseminate tournaments, which is a misrepresentation of what LP is for. When you don't say other people made a claim before making a...
This is not its aim. Feels an odd thing to declare it as having 'failed'. LP is designed to document tournaments and prominent figures in the game, not to do the work of advertising tournaments.
The point is that your week 2 available time might not match up well with your intended opponent's week 2 available time, so it offers flexibility to still play that week against someone who is free.
I would really urge you not to go wild with the number of maps, please. Even at 15, that's a lot of maps to keep track of, both for players and viewers. More than that and it just waters down the quality of preparation and willingness of people to pick a range.
Feel like there's a couple of reasons, linked to each other, which stand out:
1) From a competitive stand point, having team mates and opponents rank each other doesn't sit well. Would be all too tempting (and easier than expected) to have a team work together to give each other favourable...
It's just never struck me as a problem. It's been a thing for a long time, and I think a lot of people are quite happy to accept that if they miss something live, they're unlikely to avoid hearing scores/results.
I've seen this point thrown around a huge amount, and I really don't get it as a criticism. It's absolutely standard practice for other matches at the same event to have updates provided as they happen. Check any of the big CS:GO events, for example, or in football commentary (or any sport, for...
