Is there any system where there are no random matchups? With predefined seeding may be but there are other issues with those as what can be used for seeding which is fair for everyone.
There might be specific Swiss systems where matchup rules are more complex (for example, seeding updates after...
Random matchups are used even in most competitive tournaments (draws held for groups and knockout stages); there too we see some unfortunate matchups but that doesn't mean the system is unfair or not well-designed. If all you have is single extremely rare outcome to say that the system is not...
If everyone with same record had equal random chance of being selected each time then the outcome; however it may seem after it has happened; is NOT unfair, just unfortunate.
Double elimination takes a whole lot longer. That means either (A) longer tournament schedule which can get very tedious for casters/talent and boring for spectators (especially with some early upsets) OR (B) players have to play multiple matches in single day which again can become boring. Not...
You cannot advance with 1-3 so it is must win for Daut (& other players at 1-2). Daut probably advancces with win regardless of other results, but wins for his past opponents (Capoch, Jordan, Nicov) might boost his seed.
Different situation for Tatoh. He might even advance with a loss if...
I don't see "stuck villagers in trees/mines" as a bugged map restart. Is this intended? or the maps are fixed to avoid this situation 100%?
Edit: stuck units in general. (Hunt included?)
Same thing happened to me few days ago when I tried to open many new tabs at once. Only few of them loaded and rest showed website inaccessible error. I could not access AoEZone for at least 4-5 hours after that. Will keep an eye if it happens again.
Secret cannot be out in any scenario. Both Heresy and Suomi have to win 3-0/3-1 for Heresy to tie with Secret and it will be 3 way tie as Yinyang also have 4 points. Even in that case the 3 way tie is won by Yinyang with 2 set wins so Yinyang will be 2nd. Further, Secret beat Heresy in their...
I think the best way to split groups and have possible 1vs4, 2vs3 match-ups in the semis, is 1458 and 2367. This way there is no benefit in the groups by lowering your seed (not that players would do it but still the rules should not depend on what players will/will not do). And in general...
Make that building a civ bonus. A civ that needs techs from multiple buildings but is not top tier. Koreans and Turks seem to be a good options in my opinion. It also might make their CA (UU for Koreans also) more viable.
I remember someone's comment on another post that we need to have something similar to "Doing a 90" in Fortnight for the game to be more engaging towards new young players. This comes very very close to that. Might be the future of AoE as an E-sport.
Not all civs will be equally viable on every map and even if you try to balance the game as much as possible, their will be clear tiers of civs for each map.
With pick civs, lower tiers of civs will hardly be used as even though there is no clear best civ, difference between top tier and say...
Well, I didn't know units killed in friendly fire count as your kills too (as well as deaths). Thus, total count (kill+conversion = deaths) will always match. I think this was not the case before DE or I might be wrong.
How does that make it better? The point is even if there is a solution which seems fair from the outside, it is very subjective. It is a business after all, people will work together as long as it is beneficial to them individually.
Assigning which piece of cake/chocolate/etc one should get isn't also huge effort but siblings have been fighting over it since the dawn of time. Just saying.
I got your point the first time. You could have just as easily said,
"I dont think he cares about what is said in other streams about him on a personal level. And I dont think he needs people to deffend him here. " & it would have made the same point. But you went on explicitly saying what...
