Dont get so many ppl focus on the archer micro...this unit is very good in raiding and imperial war! 1.6 speed, for 20 gold it is like an upgrade version of Hussars which dodge arrows much better. Who the hell always have time to micro in imperial?
Byz, indians, aztec suffers vs them.
But tbf they are bad in teamgames. IMO they need thumb ring, otherwise they are now like goths but probably worse. Got the worst arbalest and a rather minor eco bonus
So the only way out for celts paladin is to age up 2 mins earlier than opponent, with a relatively low eco. Paladin click shouldn't be that hard if u save blast furnance for later. However, with the lack of bloodline, likely u are already struggling in castle age
think Longbowman is almost everything better than arbalest (except small accuracy). If u got 3+ castles, go longbow.
The Leitis now is less OP than before due to the pierce armor. IMO it can be quite functioning as a camel-like unit ( camel 24 damage to paladin vs Leitis 18-22 damage), but like...
mameluke is the better attacking (bit like arambai, Genoese) unit while imp camel better defensively.
range unit (esp such short range) is such trouble to defend
whats the point of nerfing saracen market when most players doesn't think it OP? Saracens aren't the go-to civs of pros in most situation as well. btw i love the saracen market, resources almost "exchangeable"
i think saracens camels/knight mix is okay-ish. pure camels die too easily without armor. but the trouble is if u are forced to make lots of knights, it's bad in imperial. Bit like indians, but without the crazy eco bonus...also NEED to make use of market to compensate econ bonus
feel like sicilians 1 farm upgrade is almost like heavy plow of other civs...
So from this angle they have kind of saved 100f 100w ish to delay 2nd upgrade
this is more of a TG tech than first crusade, and at earliest used in mid-imperial (mostly post-imp) as food and wood are usually extra, while trade carts wouldn't turn into flem militia.
I guess u mean much better vs units at >3 range?
Arambai is fairly accurate at close range. Hitting wrong target seems more likely in imperial war, mass units and less micro. But by that time arambai is too bad in pierce armor...
I think they are more of teamgame civ? Flemish militia being slinged, first crusade being slinged, techs creating gold...
Comparing the 2, Sicilians shd be more of a 1v1 civ as counter unit less bonus? But with their economy its hard to force counter. The best counter can be forced is...
this is truly killing Leitis LOL
who wants a horse version Shotel....
I think most people would prefer building 6 stables over 2 castles for similar production, in this case.
Basically Knight line is better in open map and vs archers
Leitis is better in melee fights, durability and upgrade time...
IMO most of the transition to Mangudai isn't necesssary. If u transit succeed, then probably u are not under big pressure, and can win the game even only with siege and/or cav archers/arbalest. Like 5% chance the mangudai actually win u the game due to their dominance over siege and hit &run...
