There are simple methods to combat the “smurf-Elo-boosting” problem. I got two examples, which are far from perfect, but easy to implement imo.
1. Ignore players with less than 10 ranked games for the calculation of the teams average Elo.

You are not wrong. Giving teammembers different ELO gains/losses is a conceptual flaw and it prevents the TG ladder from accurately indicating players true skilllevels.
