Thx for the answer, I really appreacite the tip.
I think you just proved that no matter the small buffs on infantry, it is still very hard to make a game plan where you main them, you'll always need cav or skirm backup and, even before massing militia, you'll have to get the opponent weak to...
Love the idea of infantry play, but as a low ELO player, I still struggle a lot to balance economy in feudal to be able to produce militia-line, would like them to have a little more health or PA to be able to stand against archers in feudal and transition alright against mass archers, maybe I'm...
Of all the posts in this thread, I have to say this is the least serious one, it only shows a sign of the times... AOEII is a 22 years old game, the fact that someone can say its "peak" was 2 months ago in a tourney (which be best reminded, was played in a DE/2 years old) game mode and now it's...
Thanks a lot for this effort in making more accessible the decision making and understanding of technologies for us noobs and new players.
As I've read above, there may be somethings that can be improved, but, personally, I appreciate a lot the effort you made and time you took to give away...
As a mexican, it's a shame to see that, after some more research, the most important and relevant books on Mexican pre-hispanic cultures are from foreigners, still, those seem to be very well documented books.
I'm personally very interested in giving AoE4 a try, if for anything else, it looks very good for me, and the historical background is, indeed, a strong appeal also.
I also have the feeling that is somehow the intention for AoE4, I'm feeling MS is aiming to a more popular e-Sport, have AoE2 a...
Just to revive this very interesting thread I stumbled upon...
My favorite is without doubt Roger da Fleur, he was a Templar, turned pirate (very succesful), turned Caesar in Constantinople, very few information on his life for someone so interesting shamefully.
Hi! I only know of a very detailed and well known book about aztecs, other than more "researchish" material from scholars.
More than a book, is a series of books called simply Aztec: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aztec_(novel)
I'm ashamed to say I haven't read it already, but have heard very...
Pretty interesting question, I can only say I also love the looks of SL and think they do work a lot in favor of the aesthetic of the game and also the historicity.
I would be in favor of something like this also, although my game knowledge is not enough to have a strong opinion.
Hi everyone! I'm new to the community, although I've been following and playing AOE 2 for a couple years.
Though I'm very low ELO (900) at the moment because I have very little time to play, in my experience, and in what I've seen in the castings and streams, I think knight civs are OP.
Here is...
I agree LS are beasts against eagles, plus they can counter attack and do decent damage to buildings, besides, if your oponent changes to xbow, deffending with skirm is cost efficient because the food income will be there and its not gold intensive.
If anything, I think meso civs have power...
Great news for the community to have such important tournaments.
I've watched the previous RBW I - IV Tournaments and never really catched the themed part, now that it will be an event such as this, I'm hoping it will have lots of surprises for us remote viewers so that we'll feel as a part of it.
