Unless Twitch TOS allow watch parties of your content when streaming there, any stream is still protected under copyright law. And watch parties are absolutely a violation of that in most countries. In Europe and NA it surely is. Same goes for almost all reaction videos on YouTube. Fair use...

For me as a viewer a bo9 with team games is too much. 1v1 tend to be shorter, so there I think it's fine for a final (no idea from a players perspective). Yesterday I stopped wachting midway so I can later skip through the phases of the games where nothing happened.- MadeByJoe

This is a common misconception. You can't just use something and call fair use because you don't earn money with it. Fair use is more like a "quote right" if you create something new with it, like an analysis. Otherwise you could put any music on YouTube as long as you don't put adds on it. Also...- MadeByJoe

I think this got scrapped (rightfully so). What I noticed is Memb asking other people to co-cast while on stream. This feels really akward, even as a viewer. They can't really say no in front of thousands of people unless you come up with an excuse and even then one might feel pressured to say yes.- MadeByJoe

Red Bull, other than Microsoft, doesn't want to sell the game but a product not connected. So for them the viewer number (and demographic, but I guess that would be more or less the same) is the most important thing. I'm not too concerned about a new RBW being on AoE4.- MadeByJoe

Can confirm, I didn't get any matches on tinder, then I wrote that I waste half my weekends watching AoE2 and every swipe was a match. And to be more serious: Usually I'm officially watching Netflix or YouTube which brings the problem to explain why I have to watch it at exactly that time.- MadeByJoe

I think this shows very well how decisions about actions for rule breaking never should be up to the other player/team. If they actually want the rules enforced they get hate for it. Tournaments are marketing for the games. AoE4 is still new and as you said, the numbers don't look great. So it does make sense to give it more money than AoE2, trying to improve those numbers. Only up to a certain point of course, if it's a dead game after 5 years you don't have to keep it on...- MadeByJoe
