What are your unpopular opinions?
At my level (1400), they play out the same with scouts and spears. Just one takes place in Feudal Age, and one in Castle Age. -

Should I preemtively tower opponents woodline while trushing in mid feudal?
If you can afford to, I would do it. Letting him build the lumber camp first but then not actually able to take wood would be the fivehead play, but personally I think just denying the woodline altogether is also good.- Degaussed
