Honestly, that's a horrible take. First of all, while it has surely happened before, I highly doubt that many top players do this. Second of all, "others do it as well" is never an excuse. Otherwise you might just remove any rules altogether cause there's surely someone else in this world who...
Whether or not it's a good thing is a different story.
In my opinion, it is possible to fill even Arena Dark Age e.g. with analyses of the maps and the civ matchups with potential late game army compositions or success factors.
My main concern though is that casters sometimes get too distracted...
I don't think this list is directly used for any kind of seeding. Yet the aoe2.net data is used, which is also the basis for this list.
Does aoestats have an API from where the data can be pulled? If not, I doubt it will become an actual alternative source of seeding. I already talked about this...

I don't want to argue about the other things but yes, he does talk way less about non-gameplay-related topics than pretty much everyone else among the known casters. You can argue about whether this is good - I believe Dave said that he uses those things (such as birds) on purpose - but...
It's not just one single player though but at least 2 considering that Twigg is most likely among the Top 5 Argentinians.
I am not that convinced of Capoch in TGs though tbh, I think he is much better at 1v1s. Yet it would have been cool to have Argentina with its top line-up.
Whatever, seed #5...
RBW also had people getting ALs despite checking in, which is not yet considered in the numbers. Anyway, you'd need a lot of ALs to go from 500+ to below 393.
It was more of a joke from me initially. The high numbers included people not signing up properly etc. Ultimately RBW Q1 only allowed 256 players and Q2 had 393 players in a 512 bracket. With 125 teams and at least 4 players playing per team, this number will easily be exceeded in terms of...
Depends a bit on what you count. Some RBW qualifiers had ~1k signups, just that a few hundred of them were invalid and some more didn't check in
Not sure what you are talking about - there is no NAC4 sub forum, is there?
(I guess they usually have to be requested by the respective admin so it doesn't make sense here as there are no official post about NAC4)
I don't really think Brazil A has championship potential tbh. Bruh is not in top shape and FeAge is just too far away from the top imo. Admittedly though I wouldn't have thought that Brazil B wins NC2017 either so let's see.
Besides, I don't see USA A as a candidate for Top 8. Daniel is way...
I think it was Paladin and Tim, who didn't get along well...?
Still surprised to see Tim on the team. Basically since DE he was miles away from his previous level. Not sure whether he can really help the team. On the other hand iirc he's an experienced pocket player and I guess the other...
aoe2.net is back* and so is the highest rating list! We'll have a bit of an extended update this month as it covers the process of four months. Two limitations:
The data gap of aoe2.net between mid-September and mid-November obviously affects the data, meaning that if you reached a highest...
