Good point! That's most likely the reason.
There is no doubt that if you play for a living and have a chance to win a bigger prize you choose the game with the bigger prizepool.
66% Hype for AOE2 and AOE!
Will skip AOE4 but I am totally fine with it.
I guess Viper will play AOE4 because of the money. He can win AOE4 and there is a lot more money (dunno why).
But I am happy with AOE1 and AOE 2.
Great choice of games.
Jeez...
All weekends blocked with, at least for me, pure boredom.
Nevermind. I wish them much fun and success but I am glad I got finally my PS5 two days ago.
Ofc I watched DWL on Memb yesterday after work but so much weekends with the Golden League will give me enough time to finish the games...
Every now and then I tried it again but for me it is still boring to watch AOE4. Even at the highest level.
So sad because many streamers really enjoying AOE4.
They should do what they want and not forced to play a game because of the viewercount.
I really gave AOE4 a try.
The last years I watched more AoE2 streames than Netflix, Disney and Prime combined (I stoppes watching normal TV years ago).
But it is hard to follow AOE4. I have absolutely no fun while watching it. I don't get exited or even hyped.
T90 did this whole streaming for a living. He got paid and most users here in this forum would do the same and it is absolutely understandable.
And maybe it really is a chance to get more fans to AOE2.
I am happy for him.
And I don't envy him his money. If it is 500k or 10 Millions, I don't...
Maps like Slopes are predictable. You kow for sure where you opponents base is.
That is one problem of laming on this maps but the rules were clear. Laming was allowed in the final brackets. So use it. There was very much money on the line.
Viper got lamed against Yo. He had absolutely no food...
Hm, I never give this a thought (shame on me) but you are right. These kind of maps are way to predictable. It is all because "we" want fair conditions. So we have boring maps and lots of mirror civs.
If we don't have this "we" are complaining that the map was unfair or the civ match up was not...
Hera was close to losing against a fantastic playing Daut. Not because Hera played bad but because Daut is in really good shape!
Hera is playing at a very high level, and I never expected this kind of domination from Viper. But he smashed Hera. Viper in full try hard mode is the real beast...
@nitin88
I totally agree with you. It is part of the game and it is always a risk for the "lamer".
As for the maps and settings.
To many hybride maps for my liking and I really would prefer civ picks and no repeats of any given civ per match up.
Maybe it is a bit unfair but you have to think...
That is absolutely awful!
Sure, sometimes it is hard to keep up a good scouting but that is one of many differences between players. You have to play good and train hard to master an excellent scouting. If you have trouble hunting the boar and keep scouting then play more and get better or play...
