Heavy disagree. As was often mentioned price money doesnt allow more than ~5 professional players. Rules need to remain flexible. While what you are saying is true, towers are exempted from the hill bonus in the way that the extra arrows of the tower, which deal the bonus damage, are not affected by the hill bonus. I think that's the case for all extra arrow for buildings, which is the reason the TC fire does not benefit...- Snizl

The point is, that now it likely (speculation, we will have to see about this) is not possible to defend a siege push, while booming if there are unfortunate hill positions on the map. Pathing worse than before?
Yeah, I believe formations are one of the core issues that cause bad pathing in AoE2. It is a very difficult issue to make a "swarm" of units behave like an individual entity on open field, but "flow" around objects, instead of pathing around them as a whole.- Snizl

Part of the issues were not just the internet but also servers, AoE2 and AoE4 share servers AFAIK, so the AoE4 stress test during the red bull event was hypothesized to have had a big impact on that part.
