Overall viewers for the final was stable at around 13-15k. I was very happy with this personally, especially in context of an 11-week event that was always more about continuity of content than one big peak. The elite stage of this tournament does run relatively long (4 weekends), but my philosophy was to make sure that while it creates a lot of content for our audience, the burden on each player is relatively low. I look on here every few weeks to see what's up, immediately get triggered, respond, get more triggered, vow to never respond again, then three weeks later forget why I stopped looking on AOEZone. Problem is he was over nerfed right before N4C, and as usual devs have over cooked it on the buff right before Golden League. The balance changes need to be more incremental imo.- EliteGamingChannel

The one thing though that I really don't enjoy is this idea that N4C and Golden League should somehow be pitted against each other. Lol. How do you know how much I've put in from my pocket? I'm not even sure how much I've invested from my pocket. You seem to be the authority on my pockets though, so I'll take your word for it. Last weekend the peak viewership was 12.5k, of which 5.5k was on EGCTV. Sure it's a $125k event...- EliteGamingChannel

Probably an unpopular (and very personal) opinion, but I think there's a bit of 'grass is always greener' with this debate. Just to clarify, I wouldn't put it quite as directly as that (in terms of putting actual numbers on it or %'s). But if you go back and find it, Nili somewhere answered a question on stream where he essentially said this is one of the major determining factors in getting grants for tournaments...- EliteGamingChannel

That's fair. Generally I don't like invites and we do very few of them. We kept 4/64 open in case there were special cases (other RTS players deciding late to switch and grind). I understand the criticism more when it's say 25%+ of players being auto invited, thus not leaving room for turnover...- EliteGamingChannel
