Great! I don't really like arena, but I know some high-level clowns are participating in the tournament, and at the end Arena is probably the 2nd or 3th most played map ever, so it makes sense for it to make it into the tournament. That being said, any chance we get mediterranean or something...

Has Frost Giant solved the RTS monetization problem with Stormgate? (aoe2 monetization)
Of course not. I don't mind if you wanna have candyman as your infantry unit, but before engage in a battle with my cavaliers agains those candyman I want to know if they are Pikeman or Champions.- Lord_patito

I just saw the Sitaux vs Jordan match for RMS showmatch. Game 3, hindustanis vs berbers. and I just thought "why the hell hindustanis have halbs"? the combo of halb + Ghulam seems just to strong- Lord_patito

Well, yeah. Could we make it shorter? Of course we could. But also i don't understand why is bad having the top 8 players playing Bo7 between each other. There was no Single Elimination stage. All was double elimination, and all of the 3 rounds have individual Prizing in terms of money. Out of the 64 players playing in Golden League, 40 are getting economic prizes. so yeah, they're making money- Lord_patito

Yep, the issue with burmese that franks or similar civs don't have is that they struggle in castle age. I think that xbow spike is even more powerful than arbs spike.- Lord_patito

I keep thinking the same I thought about them when it was the UU for indians: They should outrange Archers. They're Slow, expensive and they die to every counter unit in the game. I'm a noob, but I think needing a castle to be able to produce a proper conter unit it's not precisely something I would call "strong". I guess they're still weak against infantry and archers, but not to the same extent they were before- Lord_patito

yeah, the conclusion you can take is that we were focusing on players not qualified to the final stage of the event. We decided not to cast Top players sets (Like Vortix vs Lucifron or Beastyqt vs Viper) in order to cast players that were on the verge of qualifying. FYI we had more than 6K...- Lord_patito
