I might be wrong again, but from looking at the methodology here it seems like players can't actually lose points from bad results, so this system rewards players who participate in a high volume of tournaments (e.g. ACCM). This site is a fantastic resource, especially the head to head feature. The problem with its rankings (and with robo’s list, from what I can tell*) is that it weights all tournaments equally. So going out in the first round of an S tier tournament can easily be offset, points-wise, by going deep...- green eggs

Based on that logic, MbL would have to be second, since he beat Vinchester and was only knocked out by TheViper, the eventual champion. Of course, MbL also lost to Sitaux, who lost to Liereyy, who lost to Vinchester, so maybe we should just accept that any of the top players can beat each other...- green eggs

Definitive rankings are basically impossible. But I think we can identify "tiers" based on what would or wouldn't count as an upset. Beating someone in a higher tier is an upset, beating someone in a higher subtier is a slight upset, matches between players in the same tier are only upsets if...- green eggs

I picture Slam as more of a chestnut horse personally but I like where this is going. What kind of steed are each of the players? Yo is a draught horse: always carries his team.
